Las Vegas Raiders vs Pittsburgh Steelers – game predictions
Contents
The Raiders are hosting the Steelers as a -2.5 point favorites at the Allegiant Stadium. Check out our daily NFL predictions page.
Prediction 1: Steelers +2.5 @ 100 (2.00)
The Raiders are the better team in the head to head matchups against the Steelers winning 6 of the last 9 meetings. Still, these two teams have played only 31 times in history and that record does not play big of a role. The last time the Steelers defeated the Raiders outside Pittsburgh was in 1995 and this will be the first time they play in Las Vegas. The Raiders are the favourites given the odds, but with Davante Adams and Jacoby Myers being questionable, the Steelers have solid chance to win. TJ Watt is on top of his game and if Kenny Pickett finally pick up his game, the Steelers should at least cover the +2.5 points spread.
Prediction 2: Steelers over 1.5 sacks @ -150 (1.65)
The Raiders are going into this game with a 1-1 record and they are the only team in the league that has not allowed a single sack in the first two weeks of the season. That is the second time in team’s history not to allow any sacks in the first two games of the season and the last time they did that was back in 1977. Trusting the numbers, they will definitely not make it three in a row for the first time in history especially against the Steelers who have TJ Watt. The 28-year-old linebacker had a total of four sacks in the first two games and will probably have two by himself.
Raiders vs Steelers preview – Will Kenny Pickett step up?
Kenny Pickett has totaled 454 yards in the first two games of the season. That is something he is not satisfied with and this is the game where he needs to step his game up and lead the Steelers to a road victory.
