The Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat are the last two teams standing in the NBA Playoffs, and they move on to the NBA Finals series that will give us the 2023 NBA champion.
The Nuggets had an easier way to the NBA Finals, losing only three games so far in the season. The Nuggets, who finished on top of the Western Conference in the regular season, are coming off a dominant performance in the NBA Playoffs sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers. Their biggest challenge came in the second round when the Phoenix Suns had a chance with the series being tied at 2-2, but the Nuggets took care of business in six games. The opening round was quite easy for them as they lost only one game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Heat managed to get to the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Chicago Bulls in the Play-In tournament following a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Jimmy Butler turned into a beast mode after that, leading his team to a 4-1 win in the opening round against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Knicks followed in the second round but were not much of a challenge, with the Heat winning in six games. The Heat started excellent in the Eastern Conference Finals, taking a 3-0 lead, but they needed a Game 7 win on the road to close out the series.
