Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets – Game Predictions

The Nuggets are an 2.5-point road favorite with a total of 214.5 points. They are coming off their only home loss in the Playoffs and will need to bounce back in Miami. However, the Heat proved to be a tough team than knows how to win at home.

Prediction 1: Denver to win

The Nuggets came into the series as major favorites. They finished in top of the conference in the regular season, had more days to rest and prepare for the NBA Finals and were brilliant playing at home. Now, with the home court advantage on the Heat’s side, the Nuggets will have to step their game up and play consistently well throughout the entire game. It would be more difficult to win on the road but the Nuggets are capable of doing that. There is no defense that can slow down Nikola Jokic and with the support of Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr, the Nuggets are still the team that runs the show. They will take over the game from the very beginning and unlike Game 2, they will manage to close it out and regain the lead in the series.

Prediction 2: Nikola Jokic over 28.5 points

It is safe to say that Nikola Jokic is the best basketball player in the world. However, the NBA Finals is the scene where he needs to prove that statement right, especially now when his team has lost the previous game. He scored 41 points in that one and is averaging 30.4 in the Playoffs. The Serbian impacts the game in more ways than just scoring but fact is that the Nuggets will need his points to win tonight. Bam Adebayo plays solid defense on him but still Jokic can score at will. Given the stakes, Jokic is going to have one of those night when he is aggressive and he will go over 28.5 points.

Heat vs Nuggets Preview – Can Miami Take Over the Series?

The Miami Heat were underdogs in every series they played so far in the Playoffs and the case is the same in the NBA Finals. The Nuggets looked unbeatable at home throughout the Playoffs before Miami outscored them by 20 in the third quarter of Game 2 and even the series at one game apiece. Now the series moves to Miami and the Heat have a chance to take over the lead. It won’t be easy at all since the Nuggets are very solid on the road and a lot will depend on Jimmy Butler. If the Heat’s leader has one of those night when he scores over 30 points, the Heat will most likely take over the lead in the series.
