The 2023 NBA Draft is upon us and one of the best shooters of the 2023 Class is Gradey Dick. He shot over 43% from beyond the arc this season and he is ready to enter the NBA, with his value for any team considered very high due to his ability to knock down shots. Gradey Dick‘s Parents
Gradey Dick was born on 20th November 2003 in Whichita, Kansas. He has 3 siblings: Kelsey, Brodey and Riley. Dick and his family are white Americans. His parents Carmen and Bart Dick have been born and raised in Kansas too. Both parents were athletes on their own right.
It is his mum Carmen that has influenced Gradey most in his love for basketball. Carmen Dick played basketball for Iowa University. She also played abroad for a year after graduation. Gradey’s father was also an athlete. He played both American football and baseball for Kansas University. Nasty injury during his senior year cut his career short though.
The Dick family also had to endure some serious drama when Gradey’s mum Carmen was diagnosed with colorectal cancer when young Dick was just 7-years-old. Luckily Carmen pulled through and defeated the disease. What this tough period did was make the Dick family much closer.
Gradey Dick’s Siblings
Gradey’s 3 siblings Kelsey, Brodey and Riley are also in college or high school right now. Just like Gradey and both his parents they are all involved in sports programs too. Kelsey plays basketball and tennis, Brodey is a track runner. Riley seems to have just earned a college place with a baseball program.
Gradey comes from a sporty family. He’s about to realise his dream. We believe Dick will become a solid basketball player, especially if he keeps knocking down his shots from beyond the arc.
