Boston Celtics vs Atlanta Hawks – Game Predictions
Contents
The Boston Celtics is the team that had the easiest job in the opening games of the first Playoff rounds. After we saw their dominance over the Hawks in that game it is hard to believe that Atlanta will stand any chance in this one as well. However, we already so many surprises in the Playoffs so no one can really take anything away from the Hawks yet.
Prediction 1: Atlanta Hawks to Cover the Spread (+10)
The Atlanta Hawks had a terrible opening game of the series against the Celtics shooting only 38.8% from the field and making 5 of 29 three-point attempts. That has a lot to do with the Celtics defense, but fact is that the Hawks can do much better than that. They are obviously the underdogs in this series, but they will definitely not go down without a fight. Dejounte Murray was the only Hawks’ player who was on a Playoff level in the opening game and in this one, the Hawks will regroup and be more competitive. It is pretty brave to make a statement that they will win Game 2, but with they will definitely be close and cover the +10 point spread.
Prediction 2: Bogdan Bogdanovic over 11.5 points
The majority of the Hawks players were under their level in Game 1 and one of those is Bogdan Bogdanovic. The Serbian shooter made only 3 of his 10 shots and knowing how big of a competitor he is, he will bounce back in Game 2. Bogdanovic is averaging 14 points for the Hawks this season with 40.6% shooting from deep. Coach Quinn Snyder believes in him and Bogdanovic will go over the given margin of 11.5 points.
Celtics vs Hawks Preview – Can the Hawks really challenge the Celtics?
The Boston Celtics absolutely dominated the Atlanta Hawks in the series opener. They played high-intensity defense forcing the Hawks to lose the ball and shoot with low percentage. However, the Hawks will not back down and will definitely be closer to victory than they were in Game 1.
