The 2023 La Vuelta had numerous tough days in the mountains but the coming Stage 19 is the flattest stage of them all and this pretty much guarantees a sprint finish. After many days that were for climbers and GS contenders, we finally look back at the fastest sprinters still left in the race. Could a successful breakaway spoil the party though? Below you can check all La Vuelta Stage 19 odds and also you’ll find our La Vuelta Stage 19 predictions.

La Vuelta Stage 19 Profile
The 2023 La Vuelta Stage 19 starts at La Beneza and after a fast and flat ride, the finish line is in Iscar for the first time in La Vuelta history. The stage is 177.1 km (110.0 miles) long and the starting time is 12:15 GMT. Meanwhile, the estimated finish time is 16:30 GMT.
The riders set off from La Beneza and all day they travel through virtually flat terrain before they reach their final destination Iscar. This small town just outside Valladolid will be part of La Vuelta for the first time.
The flat and easy to ride profile will make it very hard for any breakaway to succeed and it seems we will be in for a rare sprint finish.
Our betting tips and predictions for La Vuelta Stage 19
With the 2023 La Vuelta nearly over, all eyes are on team Jumbo-Visma which contains the three main favourites for the overall win. However, during Stage 19 the battle won’t be for the GC but for the green jersey. The fastest sprinters will take the front stage on Friday.
Our Outright Prediction: Kaden Groves @ 6/5 (2.20)
The runaway leader in the race for the Green jersey Kaden Groves is indisputably the fastest sprinter of this year’s La Vuelta. Groves already grabbed two stage wins early in the race and he will be hungry for more.
The easy profile and the very good team supporting him make Groves our main favourite for the stage win. If all goes according to plan it’s hard to see past the fastest man of the entire field for crossing the finish line first.
Our Each-way Prediction: Alberto Dainese @ 1/4 (1.25)
The one sprinter who has been challenging Groves in pure sprints so far is the explosive Italian Alberto Dainese. Despite going close twice Dainese is yet to beat Groves in a sprint. Still, the Italian should be able to secure a top 3 finish.
Our Dark Horse Prediction: Casper Pedersen @ 28/1 (29.00)
As our dark horse for the stage win we select Casper Pedersen. He is a gifted sprinter and more importantly, can attack from behind. Pedersen is very good at generating speed off sharp corners and this is what we have before the final run in towards the line during Stage 19. It is a long shot but if Pedersen can get in the slipstream of Groves he might be able to cause an upset.
La Vuelta Stage 19 Odds
Now we’ve made our picks here are the odds for the top 10 favourites to win Stage 19:
Kaden Groves 6/5 (2.20)
Juan Sebastian Molano 3/1 (4.00)
Alberto Dainese 6/1 (7.00)
Filippo Ganna 9/1 (10.00)
Majin Van Den Berg 20/1 (21.00)
Edward Theuns 25/1 (26.00)
Casper Pedersen 28/1 (29.00)
Hugo Page 40/1 (41.00)
Nico Denz 50/1 (51.00)
Geoffrey Soupe 50/1 (51.00)
As the list with the top 10 favourites shows this day will be all about the sprinters. No surprise that Kaden Groves is the main favourite for the win. The Aussie has been flying towards the finish line on flat terrain so far.
Our dark horse pick Pedersen also makes the top 10 favourites. Despite his odds, we think that if he can get a good enough position on the final turn before the finish Pedersen could cause an upset.
