FIBA World Cup 2023 schedule – dates and times of all fixtures

The 19th edition of the FIBA World Cup will take place from August 25th to September 10th in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia. The 32 basketball teams that have qualified for this final tournament are split into 8 groups of 4 but for more on the format just follow the link.

FIBA World Cup schedule for Group Stage (August 25 – August 30)

There will be eight groups, comprised of four teams, lettered from A to H.Β Groups A and B will play in the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, the Philippines, while C and D will also be in Manila at the Moa Arena. Groups E and F have the luxury of playing at the Okinawa Arena, Japan while finally, Groups G and H will be at Jakarta, at the Indonesia Arena.

FIBA World Cup schedule Group Phase (August 31 – September 4)

The results of the three games from the Group Stage are carried over to the second round, the Group Phase. these teams are lettered I-L. Every team plays against the two teams in their group they didn’t face in the 1st round, for a total of 16 games (two games per team, four games per group).

As the teams that will matchup at this stage are still not decided we’ll just give you the FIBA World Cup schedule per day. Again all times are in GMT:

This is the only rest day of the entire FIBA World Cup schedule with no games set to take place on that day.

FIBA World Cup schedule Final Phase (September 05 – September 10)

All matches from the Final Phase will be played in the famous Mall of Asia Arena in Manilla, Philippines and we’re guaranteed to be treated to another ‘Thrilla in Manilla’ on September 10th when we will find out the name of the new World Champions!

FIBA World Cup schedule for the Final Phase times are on offer below. First, let’s take a look at when the matches will be played. Here we give you the FIBA World Cup game order with all the times again in GMT:

  • Quarterfinals:

  • September 5 – QF1 08:45 AM and QF 2 12:40 PM
  • September 6 – QF3 08:45 AM and QF 4 12:30 PM
  • Semifinals:

    September 8 – SF1 08:45 AM and SF 2 12:40 PM

  • Final:

    September 10 – Bronze medal match at 08:30 AM and Gold medal match at 12:40 PM.

On September 07 and September 09, the losers of the quarterfinals will decide the 5-8 classification.
