The 10th week of the 2022 NFL season is upon us, and the playoff picture is slowly taking shape. In the AFC, the Buffalo Bills remain the top dog but are coming off a stunning loss to the surprising New York Jets. The Kansas City Chiefs remain in the hunt for the overall No. 1 seed in the conference, while the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens are the frontrunners in their respective divisions.
The final two months of the regular season will provide answers to a bevy of question marks. Can the Jets advance to the playoffs with an inexperienced second-year quarterback? Will another team challenge the Bills and Chiefs for AFC supremacy? Are the Ravens a legitimate Super Bowl squad with the addition of Roquan Smith?

The AFC Potential division champions
I like the Bills to conquer the AFC East over the Dolphins and Jets, and that the Chiefs will overcome the Los Angeles Chargers to claim the AFC West crown. The Ravens will outlast the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC North title, while the Tennessee Titans will easily win the AFC South division.
Why the Ravens over the Bengals? Make no doubt about it, Cincinnati is a good squad. But Joe Burrow & Co. still have games left against the Titans, Chiefs, Buccaneers, Patriots (aka Bill Belichick’s defense), Bills, and Ravens. Wow! Baltimore added the NFL’s leading tackler at the trade deadline and should win enough games down the stretch with a healthy Lamar Jackson.
The Jets are the mystery team in the conference. New York has quietly built a playoff contender with the old-school formula of running the football and playing good defense. However, the biggest question mark is Zach Wilson. The young signal-caller is currently a game manager and the major reason the Jets are not yet Super Bowl contenders.
Who will make the Wild Card round in the AFC
The Chargers, Dolphins, and Jets are my picks to advance to the playoffs as wild-card entrants. Los Angeles has won four of their last five games despite their top receiver, Keenan Allen, being sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Bengals have a difficult slate of games down the stretch and finish the season against the Bills and Ravens. The Patriots have major issues at the quarterback position and play in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions.
The playoff bubble in the AFC
Cincinnati, New England, and the Cleveland Browns are the only remaining teams with a realistic chance of earning a playoff spot.
