The defending WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces are only a win away from reaching the WNBA Finals for the second consecutive year. The Aces took a 2-0 lead in their series vs Dallas Wings after consecutive strong displays from A’ja Wilson at home proved enough. Dallas were close in game 2 though. Now at home, they will be working even harder to keep this best-of-five series alive.
Dallas Wings vs Las Vegas Aces – game predictions
Contents
The Wings have no choice but to be aggressive. Their only chance to win is to score plenty of points as slowing down the Aces has proven an impossible task for anyone this season. Here are our Wings vs Aces predictions ahead of game 3.
Prediction 1: Dallas Wings over 81.5 total points @ -167 (1.60)
The Wings scored 84 points in game 2 and 83 in game 1 of this series. Clearly, they can go above 82 total points and now back at home and with their season in the line we back them to at least try hard and score 82 or more points again.
The Wings have scored more than that in 4 consecutive matches vs the Aces. They also averaged 87.9 points per game during the regular season. All this makes us believe they will do it again.
Prediction 2: Over 169.5 total points @ -195 (1.51)
Our second prediction is that the game will have 170 or more total points. This mark was comfortably reached in the first 2 games of this semifinal. Also, both teams average more than 87 points for the season so between them they regularly register total tallies over that mark.
The Aces saw 11 of their last 13 matches produce more than 170 points. The same happened in 9 of Dallas’ last 12 games. This is why we feel confident this will happen again now in game 3.
These odds were correct at the time of writing.

Can the Aces win even if Wilson is slowed down? Will the Wings improve their shooting percentage against the best transition team in the league?
Dallas Wings news, injuries, and starting lineups
The Wings failed to slow down A’ja Wilson yet again in game 2 and this was the main reason why they lost 84-91 to find themselves in a 0-2 hole. It was the awful starts to each half in game 2 that saw the Wings lose. They lost the first and the third quarters of game 2 with a combined 14 points, so winning the other quarters wasn’t enough.
The inability to find quality shots inside the paint continued to be an issue. The Wings shot only 37.5% from the field in game 2, with their percentage from distance being 38.5%. This was a second consecutive match in this series the Wings shot below 38% from the painted area and only if this changes they could hope to win.
Wings Injury Report:
Lou Lopez Senechal (G) – out
Diamond De Shields (G) – out
Wings Starting Lineup:

Las Vegas Aces news, injuries, and starting lineups
The Aces look like true champions and despite not being at their best they still beat the Wings 91-84 on Tuesday to take a 2-0 lead in this semifinal. After dropping 34 points in game 1 A’ja Wilson scored 30 and grabbed 11 rebounds in game 2. She’s been simply unplayable in attack but also hugely influential defensively where she keeps dominating the paint.
The Aces are 22-1 at home for the season but on the road, they had some issues during the regular season. The Aces were only 15-5 on their travels which was good enough for only the second-best record in the league. The only defeat vs the Wings this season was suffered on the road too so the Aces can’t be getting complacent.

Aces Starting Lineup:
Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, A’ja Wilson, Alysha Clark
