She’s been sensational all season. Not so much against the Wings though. Dallas have players that can guard A’ja well and she struggled to get to 20 points in all 4 matches. The Wings are making their first playoff appearance since 2009 thanks to a 22-18 regular-season record. Dallas come into this game 1 on a 6-2 run. They looked impressive in the quarterfinals when beating easily Atlanta Dream twice.
The Wings have the biggest squad in the entire WNBA and this is why they lead the league for most offensive rebounds (36.7 per game) and most second-chance points (17.2). There are issues shooting from the perimeter though. Also, the Wings have problems defending the 3-point line as their bigs don’t like to leave the paint much. Not just that but the starting guard Senechal is currently out with a knee injury.
Still, with nothing to lose as nobody is giving them any chance against the Aces Dallas can relax and play with extra freedom. After all, they already found a way to beat the Aces once this season, so who knows?
