Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets – Game Predictions
Contents
The Denver Nuggets are in a promising situation going to Phoenix with a 2-0 lead over the Suns. They were pretty dominant in the first two games of the series and now have a chance to get only one step away from reaching the Western Conference Finals. The Suns are going into this one with their backs against the wall and getting out of that situation will not be easy with Chris Paul being out.
Prediction 1: Denver Nuggets to cover the spread (+4.5)
The Phoenix Suns are having major troubles going into Game 3 of the series. They were not even close to winning any of the first two games played in Denver and to make things even worse, they lost Chris Paul with a groin injury. Cameron Payne will take his place in the starting lineup who recently returned from injury. Jamal Murray will dominate him on the offensive end which will give the Nuggets a huge advantage. Durant and Booker will be very aggressive as the Suns need to set the tone early on in this game. However, the Nuggets have a longer rotation and will be able to keep the game close and cover the +4.5 point spread.
Prediction 2: Kevin Durant over 29.5 points
Kevin Durant will have no excuse and will probably face another early Playoff exit if he doesn’t step up tonight. He will definitely go all in and take every possible shot. KD averaged 29.1 points per game in the regular season and is at 27.9 so far in the Playoffs. The Nuggets know where the biggest danger comes from but they will not be able to hold Durant to under 30 tonight.
Suns vs Nuggets Preview – Can Kevin Durant make things happen for the Suns?
Kevin Durant demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns seeing the opportunity to win another NBA championship. He had to adapt quickly to the Suns system which was not easy at all and now it will be even tougher with Chris Paul being out with an injury. All the eyes are now on KD who needs to take the team on his back. Devin Booker is there to take some of the scoring but Durant would be the one to blame if the Suns fail tonight.
Phoenix Suns News, Injuries, and Starting Lineups
The Phoenix Suns are in a deep hole trailing 2-0 in the series against the Nuggets. What makes the problem even bigger is Chris Paul’s injury and the point guard will be out for Game 3. Knowing that he is the motor of the team it will be pretty hard for the Suns to be able to turn things around. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker will have to take some of the playmaking responsibilities in tonight’s game which is a must-win for them.
