These odds from William Hill were correct at the time of writing.

Toronto Raptors vs Chicago Bulls – Game Predictions

One win separated the Raptors and the Bulls and the team from Canada will have the home-court advantage in the Play-In game between the 9th and the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. Whoever wins this one will go against the loser of the game between the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks with the last Playoff spot on the line. The loser of this one finishes the season.

Prediction 1: Toronto Raptors to Cover the Spread (-5)

The Toronto Raptors had a rough start of the season and that cost them a lot at the end. The team management as thinking about breaking down this roster before the NBA trade deadline but decided to give another shot to this group of guys. The Raptors played quite well lately and are a much better team than the standings say. They are especially good at home where they have a 27-14 record and Scotiabank Arena will be a hostile place to play for the visiting Chicago Bulls. Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet had major roles in the 2019 team that won the NBA championship and will make the difference in this game with the Raptors covering the -5-point spread.

Prediction 2: Under 214.5 Points

This will be a tough game in which every possession will matter. Both teams are excellent on the defensive end this season and there will not be much scoring in this one since the stakes are very high. The Raptors are ranked 4th in the league this season allowing 111.4 points per game while the Bulls are 7th with 111.8. Another reason why this is a good choice is the fact that both teams were ranked in the bottom third of the league when it comes to scoring. The Bulls are ranked 22nd in the league with 113.1 points per game while the Raptors are ranked 24th with 112.9. These are numbers from the regular season and knowing the importance of this game, both teams will not get even close to that and this is definitely a game that will finish under 214.5 points in total.

Raptors vs Bulls Preview – Will DeRozan shine in his return to Toronto?

The man who is in the spotlight going into this game is DeMar DeRozan who spent the first 9 seasons of his NBA career in Toronto and now is the best scorer on the Bulls. Toronto fans still love him, but he will have no mercy and the Bulls will need a great night for him in order to keep their season alive.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors finished in 9th place in the Eastern Conference with a 41-41 record. They are a great group with a couple of experienced players and young high-energetic guys who are ready to step up when needed. Pascal Siakam is the main man in Toronto this season averaging 24.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Point guard Fred VanVleet will also have a leading role in this game and he can back that up as he is averaging 19.2 points and 7.2 assists per game for the season.

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls were expected to be a real contender this season, but things simply didn’t work out for them. Their starting point guard Lonzo Ball missed the entire season and Zach LaVine also missed significant time. DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic were consistent, and they are the players who can lift the Bulls over the Raptors. The Bulls finished the regular season with a 40-42 record and were only 18.23 on the road.

Toronto Raptors vs Chicago Bulls Head to Head Record In 2023

The Raptors won the regular season series against the Bulls by 2-1. The last time they played it was March 1st when the Raptors won 104-98 at home.
