There are numerous free agents who may or may not stay with their teams from the previous season and those decisions will have a major impact on the 2023-24 NBA season.

As exciting as the last season was in the NBA, it is over and the teams are looking forward to building their teams for the 2023-2024 NBA season. We already saw what the teams did in the 2023 NBA Draft and now we will see what they do in free agency.
We will keep you updated with all signings, moves, and trades as they happen, day by day, during this busy summer period for NBA teams.
NBA Free Agency – July 7
- Dejounte Murray signed a four-year, $120 million contract with the Atlanta Hawks.
- Montrezl Harrell has agreed on a one-year deal to return to the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Restricted free agent Grant Williams finalized a four-year, $53 million sign-and-trade agreement to land with the Dallas Mavericks.
- The Kings are acquiring Pacers guard Chris Duarte for two second-round picks. Pacers will receive a 2028 second (via Dallas) and the Kings’ 2030 second-round pick.
- Aaron Holiday has agreed to a one-year deal with the Houston Rockets.
- The Portland Trail Blazers are matching restricted free agent Matisse Thybulle’s three-year, $33 million offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks.
- Center Mo Bamba has agreed on a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Mason Plumlee has agreed on a one-year, $5 million deal to return to the Los Angeles Clippers.
- EJ Lidell signed a three-year, $6.2 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
- Free agent AJ Green has signed a multi-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.

- Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has agreed on a five-year designated rookie maximum extension that could be worth $260 million.
- Free agent forward Torrey Craig has agreed to a two-year contract with the Chicago Bulls.
- Center Mason Plumlee has agreed on a one-year, $5 million deal to return to the LA Clippers.
- Malik Beasley is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers and will sign a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks.
- Point guard Dalano Banton has signed a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics.

After two very busy days in the NBA Free agency, things are slowing down but there are still movements around the league. Here are the latest signings”
- Free agent guard Cory Joseph has agreed on a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.
- Justin Holiday has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.
- Lonnie Walker has agreed to a one-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets and he is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Center Cody Zeller has agreed to a one-year, $3.1 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
- Charlotte Hornets restricted free agent Miles Bridges signed a $7.9 million qualifying offer for the 2023-2024 season.
- The Oklahoma City Thunder is acquiring Brooklyn guard Patty Mills as part of a broader deal through the Houston Rockets.
NBA Free Agency Day 2
Things were just heating up on the opening day of the free agency, with many big deals being made on the day after.
- All-Star forward Domantas Sabonis has agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $217 million with the Sacramento Kings.
- Charlotte Hornets All-Star guard LaMelo Ball has agreed in principle on a five-year designated rookie max extension that could be worth as much as $260 million.
- Former League MVP Russell Westbrook has agreed on a new two-year, nearly $8 million deal to stay with the Los Angeles Clippers.
- Austin Reaves agreed to a 4-year, $56 million Early Bird maximum contract to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers.
- One of the best European players, and former EuroLeague MVP, Vasilije Micic has agreed on a three-year, $23.5 million deal to join the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- Brook Lopez is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks on a two-year, $48 million contract.
- Dillon Brooks has agreed on a four-year, $80 million contract with the Houston Rockets.
- D’Angelo Russell has agreed on a two-year, $37 million contract to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Guard Max Strus has agreed on a four-year, $63 million sign-and-trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
- The Dallas Mavericks have signed a one-year minimum deal with point guard Dante Exum. The Australian was selected with the 5th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and spent the last season with the Serbian team Partizan Belgrade.
- Donte DiVincenzo has agreed on a four-year, $50 million contract with the New York Knicks.
- Kenyon Martin Jr. is traded from the Houston Rockets to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for two future second-round draft picks.
- Center Thomas Bryant has agreed on a two-year, $5.4 million deal with the Miami Heat.
- Center Dwight Powell has agreed on a three-year, $12 million deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks.
- Forward Mo Wagner is returning to the Orlando Magic on a two-year, $16 million deal.
- Point guard Patrick Beverley has agreed to a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Center Alex Len is staying with the Sacramento Kings on a one-year, $3.2 million deal.
- Australian forward Jack White has agreed on a two-year deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- Forward Jalen McDaniels has agreed to a two-year, $9.3 million deal with the Toronto Raptors.
- Center Jock Lendale has agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with the Houston Rockets.
NBA Free Agency Day 1
The first day of the NBA free agency brought a lot of movement around the league. Some of the star players in the league decided to stick with their current teams, while others chose to go elsewhere. It seems like it will be a hot summer on the NBA market, and in the following lines, we will cover every new signing within the league.
- Kyrie Irving was among the top free agents this summer, and the 8-time NBA All-Star decided to stay with the Dallas Mavericks. Irving signed a three-year, $126 million contract with the Mavs with a player option for the third year.
- Draymond Green stays with the Golden State Warriors signing a four-year, $100 million contract with a player option for the last year.
- Fred VanVleet is leaving Toronto after seven years with the Raptors. The 2022 NBA All-Star point guard signed a three-year, $130 million deal with the Houston Rockets.
- After VanVleet’s departure, the Raptors signed Dennis Schroder on a two-year, $26 million deal. The German point guard spent the last season with the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Raptors will be the sixth team in his career.
- Shooting guard Desmond Bane signs a max extension with the Memphis Grizzlies worth $207 million for the next five years. Bane averaged 21.5 points per game while shooting 40.8% from deep last season.
- Khris Middleton has agreed on a new three-year, $102 million deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks.
- Jerami Grant has agreed on a five-year, $160 million deal to return to the Portland Trail Blazers
- Kyle Kuzma has agreed on a four-year, $102M deal to return to the Washington Wizards.
- James Harden is picking up his $35.6 million option with the Philadelphia 76ers and sides will work together in exploring trade scenarios.
- Gabe Vincent leaves Miami to sign a three-year, $33 million with the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Caris LeVert has agreed on a new two-year, $32 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
- Derrick Rose signed a two-year, $6.5 million deal with the Memphis Grizzlies. The 2011 NBA MVP goes from New York to Memphis as a replacement for Ja Morant, who will serve a 25-game suspension.
- Tyrese Haliburton signs a five-year, designated maximum contract extension that could be worth up to $260 million with the Indiana Pacers. Haliburton made his All-Star debut last season.
- Bruce Brown signs a two-year, $45 million deal with the Indiana Pacers with a team option. Brown had a big role on the Denver Nuggets championship team last season.
- Cam Johnson has agreed on a four-year, $108 million deal to stay with the Brooklyn Nets.
- Taurean Prince has agreed to a 1-year, $4.5 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. He spent the last two seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
- The Lakers also signed Cam Reddish to a two-year deal. The 23-year-old split the last season between the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers.
- The Miami Heat traded Victor Oladipo to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with draft compensation to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will absorb Oladipo’s $9.45 million expiring contract. Miami creates a trade exception of $9.45M with the deal.
- Harrison Barnes has signed a new three-year, $54 million contract extension with the Sacramento Kings.
- Jakob Poeltl has agreed on a four-year, $80 million contract to stay with the Toronto Raptors.
- The Washington Wizards are trading guard Monte Morris to the Detroit Pistons for a second-round pick. The Wizards will create a $9.8M Traded Player Exception.
- Seth Curry signs a two-year deal to return to Dallas. The Mavericks will sign Curry using their $4.5 million biannual exception.
- Coby White has agreed on a three-year, $40 million deal to stay with the Chicago Bulls.
- Oshae Brissett is leaving the Indiana Pacers to sign a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics.
- Herb Jones has agreed on a new four-year, $54 million deal to stay with the New Orleans Pelicans.
- Joe Ingles has agreed on a two-year, $22 million contract with the Orlando Magic. The Australian spent the last season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
- Tre Jones has agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal to stay with the San Antonio Spurs.
- George Niang has agreed on a three-year, $26 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Niang spent the last two seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers.
- Jevon Carter has agreed on a three-year, $20 million deal with the Chicago Bulls. The point guard spent the last season with the Milwaukee Bucks.
- Keita Bates-Diop has agreed to a two-year, $5 million deal with the Phoenix Suns. The forward spent the last three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
- The Nets traded Joe Harris and two second-round picks to the Detroit Pistons to create a $19.9 million traded player exception.
- Josh Hart has exercised his $12.9 million option for 2023-2024 to stay with the New York Knicks.
- Andre Drummond has exercised his $3.36 million option to stay with the Chicago Bulls.
- The Sacramento Kings are signing the Euroleague MVP Sasha Vezenkov to a three-year, $20 million contract.
- Rui Hachimura is staying with the Los Angeles Lakers on a three-year, $51 million deal.
- Free agents Drew Eubanks, Damion Lee, Yuta Watanabe, and Chimezie Metu have agreed on deals with the Phoenix Suns.
