Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Game 3 Prediction and Odds: 2023 NBA Playoffs

The No. 7 seeded Los Angeles Lakers will host the No. 6 Golden State Warriors Saturday night as the series shifts to Arena. The Warriors are coming off a series-tying win (127-120) on Thursday evening.

The books have the Lakers as 2.5-point favorites and –157 on the moneyline compared to the Warriors (underdogs) at +114. The game total is set at 227.5 points.

Bettors have placed 58% of their wagers on Golden State to cover the spread and 91% of the handle on Steve Kerr’s squad to win outright. 80% of the money is on the Lakers to cover and even up the series. 

Prediction 1: Anthony Davis under 14.5 rebounds @ 20/37 (-130) 

Anthony Davis’ rebound line is set at the high number of 14.5 likely due to grabbing an astounding 23 in game 1. The 30-year-old played 44 minutes which helped him attain the high quantity.

In the regular season, Davis averaged 12.5 rebounds per game, which is two less than the prop being offered by William Hill Sportsbook.

Davis has gone under the 14.5-mark and grabbed 14 or fewer boards in 6 of his last 10 contests (60%). The former Kentucky Wildcat never averaged more than 14.5 rebounds in each individual month this campaign.

The center is a game-time decision (probable) and if he plays might see a minute restriction which could hinder his opportunities to catch boards.

Prediction 2: Andrew Wiggins over 5.5 rebounds 20/27 (-135)

Wiggins is coming off a four-rebound game in game 2 but didn’t play during the fourth quarter and only saw the floor for 30 minutes.

In his last 10 outings, The former Kansas Jayhawk has recorded six or more rebounds 60% of the time (6-of-10).  He grabbed seven or more in five of the contests.

The 28-year-old averaged 5.9 rebounds per game against the Kings in the opening round of the playoffs. Prior to the postseason, in his last full month (February), Wiggins averaged six boards per outing.

According to and Fansided, Wiggins has averaged 12 rebound chances per contest during the 2022-2023 playoffs. He’ll likely play more than 30 minutes and during the fourth quarter giving him a chance to bounce back and beat the prop.

Curry led the organization in scoring during the regular season (29.4 ppg), and Green topped the assists chart (6.8). Looney was first in rebounds (9.3).
