It’s been a while since the Knicks and the Heat faced each other in the Playoffs, and this would probably be an epic series. Both teams advanced despite being underdogs in the first round, so it is hard to predict in whose direction this one would go.
These odds from William Hill were correct at the time of writing.
New York Knicks vs Miami Heat – Game Predictions
Contents
These two teams had unforgettable battles back in the 1990s and we are ready for another chapter. Both teams are aware that this is a unique opportunity to make it to the Eastern Conference finals so expect nothing but the best of them.
Prediction 1: Miami Heat to Cover the Spread (+4.5)
Both teams will try to set the tone from tip-off and this series would probably be a tight one. MSG would not be an easy place to play for the Heat but they will be able to stay close in this one. The Heat a one day more to rest and prepare and they will be ready for the fight. Knicks coach Thibodeau will definitely focus on defending Butler but he will keep his team close in this one and the Heat will cover the +4.5 point spread.
Prediction 2: Mitchell Robinson over 6.5 points
Robinson is the last scoring option on the Knicks offense. He is a rebounder and a shot blocker but he knows how to finish when he gets the ball in the paint. The center averaged 7.4 points per game in the regular season and 8 in the Playoffs and will be able to go over 6.5 in this one as he would need no more than 4-5 attempts to do that.
Knicks vs Heat Preview – Can the Knicks slow down Jimmy Butler?
What Jimmy Butler did in the first series against the Milwaukee Bucks will go as one of the best Playoff performances ever. He was literally unstoppable and the Knicks should expect nothing less in this series. Josh Hart will be the man who will need to try and slow down Butler, and that will have a major impact on the outcome of the series.
