Memphis, who finished second in the Western Conference in the regular season, was the favorite going into this series, but now things look way different. The Lakers have gained control of the series and have a chance to go 3-1 up tonight and get one step away from the next round. LeBron James has been through many Playoff battles, and it is hard to believe that he will miss such an opportunity this late in his career. The only way he can be stopped in this type of situation is if he is injured.

LeBron James is listed as probable for tonight’s Game 4 of the series against the Memphis Grizzlies. James had a foot injury that sidelined him for weeks late in the regular season. He came back right before the crucial part of the season and it is a fact that he is not in his best shape. As long as there is no confirmation that he will definitely play tonight, the Lakers fans will wonder is James playing tonight. He has been consistent in the series so far scoring 24.7 points per game so far in the series but he can go even higher as he averaged 28.9 during the regular season.
Can the Lakers win tonight if James is out?
It is tough to predict how the Lakers would look like if James is inactive. From one perspective, the rest of the guys would get more playing time and freedom to make decisions on the court. There are players such as Austin Reaves who would shine in that role. But from other perspective, James is the one who does everything on the court for the Lakers. He plays the point, involves everybody and he is the go-to guy when the game is on the line. So, the Lakers definitely need him.
