Is Bam Adebayo Playing Tonight in Game 5 vs Bucks?

The Miami Heat are on the way to making a historic achievement in the Playoffs. Only a couple of times in NBA history an 8th seed was able to eliminate the No. 1 seed in the opening round of the Playoffs. The Heat are only one step away from doing exactly that since they lead 3-1 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tonight, the Bucks will host the Heat in Fiserv Forum for Game 5, hoping to get back in the series. Giannis Antekounmpo’s injury has hurt the Bucks’ chances in the series, but they are still in. Another fact that may go in the Bucks’ direction is the uncertainty surrounding Heat’s center Bam Adebayo who has a hamstring injury.

What’s Adebayo’s Injury Status Ahead of Game 5 of the Series?

Bam Adebayo is listed as probable for Game 5 of the series against the Milwaukee Bucks and the question is Adebayo playing tonight is still in the air. The Heat’s center has a hamstring injury and would gave probably sit out if this wasn’t a Playoff series. It is a minor injury, but it demands sometime of in order to fully heal. Adebayo is the best big man in Heat’s rotation, and he contributes on both ends of the floor. Adebayo averaged 20.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in the regular season and puts up 16.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in the Playoffs.

Do the Heat stand any chance against the Bucks without Adebayo?

The Heat played well so far in the season but they paid a huge price for that. Their best shooter on the team Tyler Herro suffered a broken hand in Game 2 and will most likely miss the entire Playoffs. In the last one, Victor Oladipo suffered a torn meniscus and is definitely out until the next season. Given that, the Heat need every player on the team to stay healthy in order to keep their chances against the Bucks. Adebayo is the only big men on the Heat’s team that can put up a fight against the Bucks who have Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis Jr. in the paint. The Bucks are already on the ropes and the Heat desperately need Adebayo to knock them out. That won’t be easy at all since Giannis Antetokounmpo had time to recover from his back injury and the Bucks will be much more dangerous than in the previous games.
