Los Angeles Clippers vs Phoenix Suns – Game Predictions
Contents
This is one of the most interesting series in the opening Playoff round. Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant have been through many Playoff battles and they are still playing at the highest level possible. Both teams won one of the first two games of the series and this will probably be a close one.
Prediction 1: Phoenix Suns to Cover the Spread (-2.5)
The Phoenix Suns came into this series as the favorite to win and they are actually the favorites to win the Western Conference. Things didn’t start well after they lost Game 1 but managed to regroup in the next one. The Suns are the better team and this will be the game in which they will prove that. The Clippers are playing tough and they have a long rotation but KD and Booker will be unstoppable on the offensive end and lead the Suns to a win covering the -2.5 point spread.
Prediction 2: Russell Westbrook under 19.5 points
Russell Westbrook is probably the least predictable player in the Playoffs. He can have an off night but at the same time can play on top of his game just like he did in Game 2 scoring 28 points. He shot over 50% both from the field and from deep but things looked very different in Game 1. Westbrook scored only 9 points on 3 of 19 shooting from the field. Westbrook averaged 15.9 points per game in the regular season and the total point margin is set at 19.5 for him. The Clippers are playing without Paul George and some of those shots go to Westbrook. Knowing that his efficiency is not consistent and that he has big defensive tasks, this will be a game in which Westbrook will stay under 19.5 points.
Clippers vs Suns Preview – Is this the decisive game in the series?
