Boston vs Philadelphia – Game Predictions

Oddsmakers heavily favor the Celtics (-6.5) on the spread and at -304 on the moneyline against the underdog 76ers (+208). The total is set at 201 points.

Among gamblers, 58% of the money has been placed on Boston to win outright while 64% of it is on Philadelphia to cover the spread. 51% of bets are currently on the score hitting the over.

Prediction 1: James Harden over 8.5 assists @ 10/13 (-130)

Harden led the entire league in assists per game (10.7) this season which is 2.2 higher than the prop being offered by William Hill.

The 33-year-old is currently on a streak of four games with at least nine assists or more. Harden has eclipsed the 8.5 mark in 60% of his postseason games split between the Nets and Celtics.

In the last full month of action (March) before the postseason, Harden recorded 10 or more assists in 9-of-11 games while averaging 11.5 for the month.

Prediction 2: Malcolm Brogdon over 14.5 points 5/6 (-120)

The veteran point guard has accumulated more than 14.5 points in 70% of his last 10 games and in four of his previous five games (80%).

The prop is set at .4 points lower than the 30-year-old’s regular season average of 14.9 points per contest. It’s half a point below Brogdon’s playoff (12 games) average of 15 points per outing.

The former second-round pick should see 30 or more minutes in the win-or-go-home game 7, giving him plenty of opportunities to pass the prop.
