Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks – Game Predictions

This is a must-win game for the Cleveland Cavaliers who came into this series as favorites. The Knicks put on a fight to steal Game 1 making this an interesting series.

Prediction 1: Cleveland Cavaliers to Cover the Spread (-5)

The Cavaliers have no other option but to hit back in Game 2 at home. They failed just short in the opening game of the series and will have to take control of the score from tip-off. What is scary for them is they lost in the opening game despite their best player Donovan Mitchell dropped 38 points. They will have to improve the shooting and make more threes than they did in Game 1 hitting just 8 shots from deep. This Cavs team is very solid especially at home and will prove that Game 1 loss was just a bad night. They will be the better team on Tuesday and win this one by covering the -5 point spread.

Prediction 2: Donovan Mitchell over 31.5 points

Donovan Mitchell averaged 28.3 points per game in the regular season which ranked him 7th in the league. He went for 38 in the opening game of the series against the Knicks but that as not enough for his team to win. Now the total point margin is set on 31.5 on him which is higher than his season average. Knowing that this will be a low-scoring game makes this pick difficult but the Cavs will stand no chance if Mitchell does not go hot again.
