The 2-time Tour winner and last year’s runner-up also managed to gain team and outpace Vingegaard in the last 3 mountain stages. Pogacar certainly knows how to climb as he won the Poke dot jersey for King of the Mountains both in the 2020 and 2021 Tour editions.

With all that said and with the 2 big rivals for the top spot expected to lock horns in an epic battle once more we back the Slovenian to triumph again.

Simon is an accomplished climber, has the backing of his entire team, and we can see him attempting a breakaway on the final climb. Simon is known for his descending skills too and the final few kilometres will suit him to the teeth. That’s why we back him as our dark horse for the win in stage 14.
