Partizan vs Barcelona – game predictions

Given the odds, Partizan is the favourite to win this game, but Barcelona is playing excellent lately.

Prediction 1: Partizan to win @ 7/10 (1.70)

Partizan made a couple of big roster changes in the offseason and it looks like they still need time to get on the level they were last season. They are coming off two totally different performances in the first two rounds and finally, they will have a chance to shine in front of the home fans. Barcelona’s confidence is to the roof as they are 2-0 for the season and play really nice basketball. Still, Partizan is excellent at home especially against the top teams in the league, and head coach Zeljko Obradovic will lead his team to the victory in the home opener.

Prediction 2: Jan Vesely over 9.5 points @ 17/20 (1.85)

This will be an emotional night for Jan Vesely who is back in front of the fans that welcomed him when he was still a teenager. Barcelona’s center has grown into one of the best bigs in the EuroLeague and will prove that once again against his former team. Vesely scored 16 points in the opener against Anadolu Efes and 8 against Olympiakos last week. He is in good shape and there is no player on the home team that will be able to keep him on single digit in scoring.

Is Barcelona a legit contender this season?

Every year, Barcelona is trying to put up a roster that can go all the way to the EuroLeague title. This team does not look like the one who will make the dreams come true, but actually, they are playing much better than expected. It is still too early to call them contenders, but if they keep playing like they do at the moment, anything is possible for Barcelona.
