The new 2023-24 EuroLeague season started poorly for both Monaco and Alba Berlin. However, earlier this week the Monegasques finally won and they will seek another success now. Alba continue to start games well and play poorly after halftime. The Germans keep losing leads and they need to get better late in games if they want to start winning.

Monaco vs Alba Berlin – game predictions
Contents
Below are our Monaco vs Alba Berlin predictions. You can find more EuroLeague predictions here.
Prediction 1: Alpha Diallo over 9.5 points @ 10/11 (1.91)
After two quiet games Monaco’s forward Alpha Diallo finally came to life on Wednesday night in Belgrade when he scored 12 points. Diallo had only 11 points combined in the first 2 matches but the performance earlier this week showed that when he gets hot he’s hard to stop.
With Kemba now in the mix and likely running the second unit Diallo should be getting even more clean looks and we back him to go for 10 or more points again in this match.
Prediction 2: Johannes Thiemann over 1.5 assists @ 4/5 (1.80)
Our second prediction backs Alba’s big Johannes Thiemann to record at least 2 assists in this game. Thiemann is one of the best passers among all the centers in Europe. On Wednesday night vs Virtus Bologna, he had 3 assists. Thiemann has been averaging 2+ assists per game in 3 consecutive seasons now so we back him to at least get to his average now.
These odds were correct at the time of writing.
Monaco vs Alba Berlin preview – will Kemba Walker start for the first time?
AS Monaco head coach Sasa Obradovic praised Kemba Walker’s professionalism and discussed his potential debut ⌛️
“Unrelated to the story of arrogance, multimillionaires, and so on. He behaves like a college player…”: https://t.co/u4UY2bXQybhttps://t.co/pUFrpt2vj8

The 3-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker played his first 10 minutes in Europe on Wednesday night when he finally made his Monaco debut. Is Kemba ready to start now in what will be his first home outing?
Monaco news, injuries, and starting lineups
Monaco finally got their first win on Wednesday when they edged Crvena Zvezda 82-76 in Belgrade. It was the Mike James’ show that brought this win with the point guard finishing with 18 points and 11 assists. In this game, Kemba Walker finally made his EuroLeague debut. The ex-NBA star played only 10 minutes and he had 2 points and 2 turnovers in that time. Clearly, Kemba is still getting up to speed and he might not be ready to start or play more than 20 minutes any time soon.
Monaco are growing in confidence fast and on the domestic stage they started the new French season with 7 consecutive wins. Now they need to transport that form in the EuroLeague as their goal is to make another Final Four appearance.
Monaco Injury Report:

Alba Berlin news, injuries, and starting lineups
Only 2 of the 18 teams are yet to record a win. Alba Berlin are one of those teams. On Wednesday the Germans won 2 of the 4 periods on their visit to Virtus Bologna but still lost 76-87. Alba Berlin have led at halftime in 2 of their 3 EuroLeague games so far but the inability to score points late in games has been hurting the Germans.
The fact that they continue to be without 4 important role players also affects the displays. Due to the injury issues to so many Alba have to shorten their rotation and the bench is not contributing much so far. Unfortunately, none of the 4 hurt players will be back for this match either so fatigue will be a factor for Alba.
Alba Berlin Injury Report:
Elias Rapieque SG – ruled out
Marcus Eriksson SG – ruled out
Yannick Wetzell PF – ruled out
Christ Koumadje C – ruled out

Alba Berlin Starting Lineup:
Sterling Brown, Kresimir Nikic, Louis Olinde, Ziga Samar, Johannes Thiemann
