Fenerbahce vs Olimpia Milano – game predictions

Here are our Fenerbahce vs Olimpia Milano predictions:

Prediction 1: Nicolo Melli over 1.5 assists @ 3/4 (1.75)

Olimpia Milano added the 8-year veteran Nicolo Melli to their ranks in the summer. The small forward is a gifted passer and over his 8 years in the EuroLeague, he’s averaged 1.4 assists per game. In more recent times as his speed declined Melli became even more involved in the passing game and over his last 3 years, he averaged 2.2 assists per game. This is why we back him to get at least 2 assists in this match.

Prediction 2: Tyler Dorsey over 9.5 points @ 3/4 (1.75)

Our second prediction looks at Fenerbahce’s gifted scorer Tyler Dorsey. We fancy his chances to get at least 10 points. He’s averaging 11.2 points per game over his 4 years at the EuroLeague. Last season, in his first year playing for Fenerbahce, he averaged 11.7 points so we can’t see why he can’t get into double digits now.

These odds were correct at the time of writing.

Fenerbahce vs Olimpia Milano preview – can the fans be the difference-makers?

Fenerbahce’s fans are known for their ability to create hell for travelling teams. They are bound to be at it again. Can Olimpia Milano ignore them and focus only on their game?

Fenerbahce news, injuries, and starting lineups

Fenerbahce kept their roster from the previous campaign, a logical move considering the vast number of young talented players that should be better this term. The Turks target a Final Four appearance and they will be keen to open the campaign with a home win.

Starting point guard Raul Neto was injured during the recent FIBA World Cup and he will miss out. This should make Yam Madar an even more important figure.

Fenerbahce’s main advantage will be inside the paint with the Turks having a trio of great centres that are destined to dominate in almost every match. Jonathan Motley is the starter, but Sertac Sanli (2021 EuroLeague champion) is equally good and Georgios Papagiannis is an emerging talent who averages a double-double every time he plays more than 15 minutes.

Fenerbahce Injury Report:

Raul Neto PG – out

Fenerbahce Starting Lineup:

Yam Madar, Dyshawn Pierre, Tyler Dorsey, Marko Guduric, Johnathan Motley

Olimpia Milano news, injuries, and starting lineups

Olimpia Milano had a challenging last season and to try and improve they were busy this summer. Added several good players to improve their bench. Also, the 2021-22 EuroLeague MVP Nikola Mirotic has joined the ranks.

Veterans Nicolo Melli and Johannes Voigtmann, who just won the FIBA World Cup with Germany, add valuable experience in the low post. Olimpia still lack depth in the front court though and at least for the first 6 weeks of the season, they will be without their main shooting guard Billy Baron as he needed elbow surgery. His absence will be felt.

Olimpia Milano Injury Report:

Billy Baron SG – out

Olimpia Milano Starting Lineup:

Kevin Pangos, Diego Flaccadori, Nicolo Melli, Nikola Mirotic, Ismael Kamagate
