The new 2023-24 EuroLeague season had an awful start for last season’s Final Four participants Monaco. They are yet to win. Crvena Zvezda are 1-1 but they played well in both rounds and their confidence will be higher. Here are our Crvena Zvezda vs Monaco predictions.
Crvena Zvezda vs Monaco – game predictions
Contents
Below are our Crvena Zvezda vs Monaco predictions. You can find more EuroLeague predictions here.
Prediction 1: Crvena Zvezda over 81.5 points @ 10/11 (1.91)
Crvena Zvezda scored 94 points in round 1. They also scored 90 or more points in all of their last 3 matches on the domestic stage. To add to that Zvezda scored 88 or more points in their last 2 home matches vs Monaco. At the same time, Monaco allowed 83 points at home last week when they lost to Virtus Bologna.
When we consider all that we think Crvena Zvezda will be able to score at least 82 points in the coming match.
Prediction 2: Total points: over 154.5 points @ 1/2 (1.50)
Our second prediction is that there will be at least 155 points in this match. All of the last 4 H2Hs went well over that mark. Also, all of the 4 previous clashes between the teams that were played in Belgrade had at least 160 points in them. This makes us confident that the coming game will also go above 154 total points.
These odds were correct at the time of writing.
Crvena Zvezda vs Monaco preview – will Kemba Walker play?
AS Monaco head coach Sasa Obradovic praised Kemba Walker’s professionalism and discussed his potential debut ⌛️
“Unrelated to the story of arrogance, multimillionaires, and so on. He behaves like a college player…”: https://t.co/u4UY2bXQybhttps://t.co/pUFrpt2vj8

Crvena Zvezda can rely on passionate support from the stands once more. Will this be enough?
Crvena Zvezda news, injuries, and starting lineups
Crvena Zvezda opened their EuroLeague campaign with a sounding 94-73 home win against the other French team Lyon. Zvezda led from start to finish in that match and shot very well from beyond the arc.
Crvena Zvezda were 5 minutes away from making it 2 wins in 2 last week. They led for 35 minutes on their visit to Zalgiris Kaunas. Held a 9-point lead with just 5 minutes left to play but a late collapse saw them lose 74-79. The display was mostly good though and in both matches so far Zvezda were very efficient with their half-court attack.
Veteran Bjelica has been absent since last March. He trains again but might not be risked just yet. Starting centre Branko Lazic hurt his knee at the weekend in the domestic league. He’s considered a doubt but spotted participating in practice on Tuesday, so he might be available after all.
Crvena Zvezda Injury Report:
Nemanja Bjelica SF – doubtful
Branko Lazic C – doubtful
Crvena Zvezda Starting Lineup:
Shabazz Napier, Rokas Giedraitis, Marko Simonovic, Ognjen Kuzmic, Branko Lazic
Monaco news, injuries, and starting lineups
Monaco had been nothing short of awful offensively in the first 2 rounds. The Monegasques lost both games and they scored only 65 and 59 points respectfully against Valencia and Virtus Bologna.
Mike James continues to play well and he has scored nearly half of his team’s points. He’s hardly getting much support from others though. This all could change soon as the 3-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker is approaching on a debut. Kemba has been building his fitness and even if not ready to start he could play his first minutes for Monaco in the coming match.
Monaco will need much more than that and the likes of Okobo, Cornelie and Motiejunas need to be scoring more if the Monegasques want to turn their fortunes.
Monaco Injury Report:
Jordan Loyd SF – ruled out
Kemba Walker PG – doubtful
Monaco Starting Lineup:
Mike James, Kemba Walker, Elie Okobo, Petr Cornelie, Donatas Motiejunas
