PSG are carrying a couple of injury problems coming into the second group match. Nuno Mendes has been giving a lot of promise in the left back position but he will not play again this year after undergoing surgery for the hamstring injury. The treatment table also includes Marco Asensio, who is struggling with a foot injury. Presnel Kimpembe has an Achilles problem that will keep him out of the game.
Another long-term injury concern for PSG would be goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who is slowly getting back from a head trauma. However, there is a backup for Gianluigi Donnarumma if there is a problem with the number one, as Keylor Navas has made sufficient recovery from his lower back injury.
The likes of Lucas Hernandez and Warren Zaire-Emery are likely to be pulled into the starting line-up following a mediocre performance during the weekend.

PSG Predicted Line-up vs Newcastle – Our Top Three
These are our top three players who can make a big impact in the game.
Kylian Mbappe – More Champions League Goals for the French superstar
Kylian Mbappe’s record in the Champions League is immaculate with 41 goals from just 62 appearances in the competition. He has never been able to get into double figures in the Champions League season – with his best coming in the 2020-21 season after managing eight goals in 10 appearances – but the likelihood of the Frenchman coming up with a strong performance against Newcastle is very high.
Mbappe has been averaging a rather impressive 4.3 shots per match in the French league but he came up with five shots in the opener against Borussia Dortmund. Opposition teams have found it difficult to touch the 24-year-old, who finished four successful dribbles against Dortmund.
Even though he has not scored in his last two matches, Mbappe has found the back of the net in eight of his last 10 appearances for club and country.
Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele is yet to score in the Ligue 1 for PSG since the transfer from Barcelona in the summer. However, the winger was quite effective against his former club, Borussia Dortmund, in the first group game. He was able to make a rather impressive six key passes in the game, as PSG cruised to a comfortable victory despite the formidable opposition.
The winger has come up with one assist in his last four matches, but his all-round game has been impressive.
Marquinhos
Marquinhos has been a consistent performer for PSG over the years. The defender has been steady throughout his league appearances and his strong defensive display was a major factor behind the clean sheet against Dortmund in the first match.
Will Warren Zaïre-Emery Play Against Newcastle?
Warren Zaïre-Emery featured for only 26 minutes in the weekend’s draw with Clermont. The midfielder is the engine for PSG and his performance in the Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund was rather good with a passing success rate of 91.5%. He is expected to be recalled to the starting line-up for the match against Newcastle.
PSG Predicted Line-up vs Newcastle – The Final Word
PSG are likely to be tested to the maximum by a Newcastle team who are at the top of their game. The Magpies were quite happy to come away with a draw against AC Milan in the last away match, but the team will be looking for a win this time around. Newcastle’s approach is likely to present opportunities for PSG.
