Less than two months after Manchester City were crowned Champions of Europe, the Blues are set to get their 2023/24 season underway when they take on Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Over the past few years, Manchester City have enjoyed playing against Arsenal with the head-to-head record between the two sides heavily weighted towards City since Pep Guardiola became manager in 2016.

Both sides have gone through some major squad changes this summer with Arsenal welcoming the likes of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz through the door and Manchester City bringing in Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol.

ITV’s coverage of the match will begin at 15:15 UK time when fans will be able to enjoy pre-match build up with Mark Pougatch, Roy Keane and Emma Hayes and some pre-match interviews with Gabriel Clarke. The match will then get underway 45 minutes later at 16:00 UK time.

In order to be able to watch ITV1 in the UK, all you will need is an active television license and a satellite as ITV is one of a few free-to-air channels. The match will also be shown on ITV1HD, however fans will need to be have a HD television and a subscription to a HD television service in order to access this channel.
