Crystal Palace have made a key decision for the managerial role at Selhurst Park for the 2023/24 season, and their odds for various competitions are now available.
The Eagles have appointed Roy Hodgson as their manager for the campaign, with the boss leading the London club in the dugout alongside Paddy McCarthy as assistant manager, Ray Lewington as coach and Dean Kiely as goalkeeper coach.
Hodgson first took charge of Crystal Palace from 2017-2021, before returning to Selhurst Park in March to guide the club to safety for a fifth time.
The veteran manager, who boasts 172 Crystal Palace matches as manager – more than at any other club – secured an 11th-place finish in the Premier League table last time out.

Key Crystal Palace odds this season
Hodgson’s agreement to stay on as Crystal Palace manager was reportedly decided last week, but only now has the appointment been made official by the Premier League club.
Having taken over from the struggling Patrick Vieira with the Eagles in real danger of dropping down to the Championship last season, Hodgson was able to steady the ship to superb effect.
But the manager now wants to improve on the 11th-place finish from last season, with Hodgson confirming that his aim for the upcoming campaign is to finish in the top half.
And as per oddschecker, there is an 11/4 chance that the side will do just that, but it will, of course, be a very difficult challenge.
Palace will definitely need to strengthen in the summer transfer window as the clubs around them and indeed the newly-promoted sides make moves in terms of incomings.
Sorting out the short-term futures of many current senior Eagles players will also be on the manager’s lengthy to-do list this summer.
Hodgson would also love a cup run next season, which would definitely give the passionate supporters something extra to cheer about.
According to oddschecker, the Eagles are 50/1 to go all the way in next season’s FA Cup and lift the famous trophy at the iconic Wembley Stadium.
Hodgson thanks Crystal Palace staff
Hodgson has proven his abilities in the dugout time and again, and the powers that be at Crystal Palace are all too familiar with his experience at the highest level.
They have rewarded him with another season at the London club, and Hodgson has in turn thanked the club’s hierarchy for giving him another campaign in charge.
“I am immensely pleased and proud to be extending my time at Crystal Palace, and I would like to thank the Chairman and Sporting Director for their continued faith in me,” said Hodgson, as quoted by the official Crystal Palace website.
“I know what a fantastic squad we have here. It’s a great blend of youth and potential, alongside experienced players with Premier League and international pedigree.
“I have spoken with the Chairman at length and we agreed that we must be ambitious in getting the most out of such talent.
“As such, we have set ourselves the target of a top-half finish, which we believe is eminently achievable with such a fabulous group of players and the most magnificent supporters who get behind the team, week in, week out.”
