Three Future England Stars to Benefit from Euro 2021

The decision has been made to postpone the Euro 2020 Championships until the summer of 2021. While we would have all loved to have seen the tournament take place as normal this summer, there are some young players out there who will see this as an advantage to them.

The move gives them another full season to impress and stake a claim for their position in either the starting eleven or the squad taking part in the championships. Here are three names who could benefit from Euro 2021.

#3 Joe Willock

The Arsenal midfielder may still find himself on the outside of the squad by the time we reach the summer of 2021, but the move does give him another season to show his talent. In cup games, he has been a real shining star for Arsenal, and it appears to be only a matter of time before Joe Willock breaks out and begins to feature for both club and country.

#2 Mason Greenwood

There has been enough written about Manchester United to last a lifetime since they appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager. One positive of the move has been his willingness to play youngsters such as Greenwood, something that has certainly helped his development. The arrival of Odion Ighalo will hopefully not prevent him from getting games.

The hope for United is that they will be even better next year, and when the chatter surrounding them dies down, people will begin to focus on players such as Greenwood and recognise their talent. He’s too raw for the first eleven, but as an impact substitute in a team lacking in goal scorers, we could see Greenwood on the plane in 2021.

#1 Phil Foden

19-year-old Foden is on the brink of breaking into the England setup. The only thing he needs is more games for Manchester City. With their potential European ban set to kick in, could City struggle to bring new players into the club? If that is the case, does this open the door for Foden to play more?

There would have been a legitimate case made to leave out Foden this summer due to a lack of games, that may not be the case in 2021. Youngsters such as Foden would give England fans hope that they can go to the tournament and have the energy and youth needed to potentially win it.

This will no doubt lead to an influx of bets on them to do so, even though the tournament is over one year away. However, punters & fans across the UK keep on turning into sites to get free bets and other betting offers for all sorts of football matches.

If there is only one person to come out of the delay with a win as far as England selection is concerned, Phil Foden could be the man.
