An executive for an NFL team in the NFC had the following assessment of Levis’ outlook as a professional quarterback:
“People are being too hard on him from what I’m seeing in the media. He was hurt for most of the year and gutted it out. He’s a good teammate, he’s big and he has arm talent. I like the pro potential a lot. He just needs to get healthy and keep working at it.”
Will Levis College Career
Levis played for both Penn State and Kentucky during his collegiate career.
Penn State
The Madisonville, CT native was at Penn State for two years (redshirted his first year). He threw for three touchdowns compared to two interceptions and rushed for six touchdowns during eight starts (seven came in 2020).
Levis then transferred to Kentucky for his final two years of college.
Kentucky
During his two years as an SEC starter, the 6-foot-4, 229-pounder passed for 5,218 yards and 43 touchdowns. Levis’ career ended with a 17-7 record while he donned the Kentucky blue and white.
The dual-threat quarterback had a completion percentage of 65.9 for an average of 8.0 yards per attempt. He also rushed for 11 touchdowns during his two years as a Wildcat.

Background
Levis, a 3-star prospect, concluded his high school career with 5,419 passing yards and 55 touchdown passes, as well as 327 rushing yards and 12 scores via the ground.
The signal-caller was named to the Connecticut High School Coaches Association’s (CHSCA) Top 25 list and earned second-team Walter Camp All-Connecticut accolades.
Projected Pick/Landing Spot: No. 2 to Houston
On many sportsbooks, including William Hill, Levis has 17/10 (+170) odds to be selected as the No. 2 overall pick.
Houston is in dire need of a quarterback and there’s a high possibility they choose Levis to lead their franchise into the future.
The organization did hire a defensive-minded coach in DeMeco Ryans (former San Francisco defensive coordinator) during the offseason so there are rumors he’ll lean towards either Will Anderson Jr. or Tyree Wilson.
