Norwich City predicted lineup: Leaky Canaries will look to tighten up the defence

David Wagner came in halfway through last season at a struggling Norwich club. The former Schalke 04 man steadied the ship, but could not inspire the Norfolk County club to a top-half finish. Norwich has had a much better start to their campaign this time around as the promotion hopefuls remain unbeaten after the first two rounds of games.

The hosts will be wary of their defence after the first two games, however, as they have shipped five goals in their first two games. They conceded four of them in their last Championship match against Southampton, which ended in a frenetic four-all draw. Wagner will be happy to walk away with a point against one of the promotion rivals, but he will be looking to pick up the first Championship clean sheet of the season when Millwall drops by for a Sunday afternoon affair.

Team News

After making changes for the Carabao Cup clash against Loftus Road, Wagner is likely to return to the original Norwich lineup used against Southampton. Tony Springett’s injury from that game won’t impact this fixture as he wouldn’t have started. Despite his midweek goal, Christian Fassnacht might remain a substitute, while Jonathan Rowe aims to build on his three previous goals.

Norwich City Predicted Lineup (4-3-3)

Angus Gunn, Jack Stacey, Shane Duffy, Ben Gibson, Dimitrios Giannoulis, Jonathan Rowe, Kenny McLean, Onel Hernandez; Gabriel Sara, Ashley Barnes, Josh Sargent.

Millwall predicted lineup: Can they rediscover their opening weekend flair?

Millwall started the season with a statement victory against Middlesbrough, which suggested that they will be in the running for the Playoff spots once again this season. The feel-good factor has somewhat dipped in the Lions’ camp, however, following their back-to-back defeats in the Carabao Cup and the Championship.

After a 4-0 demolition against Reading ended their Carabao Cup campaign in the first round, Gary Rowett’s men fell to an agonising 1-0 defeat at home to Bristol City. They must rediscover their opening day form to make sure they don’t return empty-handed from their trip to Carrow Road.

Team News

Kevin Nisbet’s poor form could prompt Rowett to reintroduce Tom Bradshaw. George Saville might get the nod ahead of new recruit Casper De Norre at the middle of the park.

Millwall Predicted Lineup (3-4-3)

Matija Sarkic, Shaun Hutchinson, Jake Cooper, Murray Wallace, Dan McNamara, George Saville, Billy Mitchell, Joe Bryan, Zian Flemming, Tom Bradshaw, Duncan Watmore.
