It’s set to be a feisty occasion for both sides who are desperate for a win, but for opposing reasons. The hosts are without any points after two games played in the Premier League, while West Ham hope to extend their unbeaten bounce to four games, on the back of their 3-1 win against Brighton.
You’d have to go back to 1994 to recall the last time the two teams met, in what was a FA Cup game in which Luton won 3-2, a result that the Hatters will dream of replicating on Friday.
Team news: Luton Town
It’s been a far from desired, however expected start to life in the Premier League for Luton, after being promoted through the playoffs in May.

A 3-2 win in the Carabao Cup against Gillingham on Tuesday will have lifted spirits, however the hope will be there that the side can carry the momentum into Friday’s match up.
On the injury front, the Hatters are expected to be without Gabriel Osho due to a knee injury, while Dan Potts and Jordan Clarke continue their recoveries from long term injuries.

The forward has already shown a rich vein of form this season in the Netherlands, scoring four goals in three appearances in all competitions, including a hattrick in the Europa League qualifying round.
It’ll be a huge bonus for the Irons if their new signing features at Kenilworth Road, to the dismay of Luton.
