Liverpool host Fulham at Anfield on Wednesday evening as they look to continue their strong end to the Premier League season.

The Reds are six games unbeaten in the English top-flight and have emerged victorious in their last four fixtures as Jurgen Klopp looks to have turned things around on Merseyside after a difficult campaign.

Sitting in fifth place, Liverpool are unlikely to make the Champions League as they sit seven points off of arch-rivals Man United in fourth with a game extra played. Still, the side remain in contention and will seek to put pressure on Erik ten Hag’s men with another victory this evening.

Fulham have had an up and down time as of recent after a really impressive return to the Premier League under Marco Silva. With star striker Aleksander Mitrovic suspended, the side have struggled for goals at times but still sit in 10th position in the league.

Another win would put more distance between themselves and Crystal Palace a place below them and likely secure a top ten finish to the season for the Crave Cottagers.

However, given recent form it is no wonder that Liverpool are the strong favorites to take all three points tonight in front of their home support. Yet, the visitors will feel they have a chance after securing some results against some of the stronger sides already this season.

The game, which kicks off at 20:00 GMT, will not be televised in the UK  but will be shown on Peacock in the USA.

Liverpool Team News: Alacantra Absent While Jota Likely to Start

Jurgen Klopp visibly strained a muscle while sprinting to celebrate in the face of fourth official John Brooks in his side’s 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and could face a suspension over the incident.

Apart from that, Liverpool will continue to be without the injured Calvin Ramsay and Stefan Bajcetic.

Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita are also set to be evaluated for muscular issues before the game at Anfield.

Mercurial midfielder Thiago Alcantara was absent from the Reds’ matchday squad on Sunday and was seen limping towards the bench during the game, so the Spaniard’s availability is also uncertain.

In an attacking sense, Luis Diaz may not be considered for two consecutive starts, which could pave the way for Diogo Jota’s immediate recall to the starting XI. The Portuguese forward recovered from a back injury in time for the weekend and controversially avoided a red card for a high heel on Oliver Skipp.

Fulham Team News: Ream Injury Blow to Visitors Defense

Fulham captain and center-back Tim Ream and midfielder Andreas Pereira were both substituted with worrisome injuries during Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Manchester City, leaving Fulham with two new, severe injury concerns.

Manager Marco Silva has confirmed that Ream has a broken arm and will miss the remainder of the season.

Pereira was also taken to hospital after leaving the on a stretcher with an apparent ankle injury, but Fulham’s manager has said he remains hopeful that the Brazilian’s injury is not severe.

Suspended serial-goalscorer Aleksandar Mitrovic and Layvin Kurzawa (knee) will join Ream and Pereira on the sidelines, while Willian remains questionable with a hamstring injury.

The likes of Tom Cairney, Sasa Lukic, Manor Solomon, and Daniel James could all vie for Pereira’s starting spot while it is expected that Tosin Adarabioyo will replace Ream in the Fulham defense.

Predicted Lineups

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota

Fulham: Leno; Tete, Diop, Adarabioyo, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha, Cairney; Wilson, Vinicius, Solomon;
