Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has informed Liverpool that he is open to a summer transfer to Anfield.

The Dutch playmaker is 20-years-old and could provide some well needed legs for Klopp’s outfit next season.

The Reds have inquired with the youngster’s father as well as his agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, as to whether the former Ajax youth player would be interested in joining Liverpool after just one season with Bayern Munich.

Liverpool Have Entered Negotiations For Gravenberch

The English Premier League side have been exhorted to take their interest to the next level by initiating negotiations with Bundesliga giants Bayern.

After taxes, Gravenberch earns £100,000 per week in Germany. In order to equal those terms, Liverpool would have to offer him a £200,000-per-week contract.

On Wednesday, when the Merseysiders met with Gravenberch’s advisers in Amsterdam, these numbers were not regarded as problematic.

The Merseyside club hopes that Bayern will conduct business if they can recoup the $16.3 million they paid to Ajax for the player last summer.

Gravenberch earned the prestigious Johan Cruyff Award two years ago for being the most talented player in Holland. However, he has become dissatisfied with his lack of playing time in Munich after signing a bargain contract with Bayern Munich last year.

Gravenberch has played only 711 minutes across 27 appearances this season and for that reason alone he could be lured to Anfield.

Klopp seeks midfield reinforcements to strengthen his squad following a disappointing season. While a number of incomings are expected, there is also presumed to be several outgoings in the midfield department as Liverpool have looked rather leggy this season in terms of age.

Liverpool Aim for Gravenberch Over Bellingham

Liverpool have halted their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham after realizing that acquiring him would consume the majority of Jurgen Klopp’s summer budget.

Only five players have made their debut for the Oranje at a lower age than Gravenberch’s eleven international appearances. He is one of three professional football-playing siblings.

Gravenberch is flattered by Liverpool’s interest in him, having lost his path at Bayern under Julian Nagelsmann. After replacing Nagelsmann as head coach, club officials exhorted him to be patient, and Thomas Tuchel praised him highly.

However, Gravenberch has only appeared in one of Tuchel’s first four games, a 10-minute substitute appearance in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim.

Liverpool’s decisive victory over relegation strugglers Leeds United will no doubt offer Gravenberch and the club’s other transfer targets hope.

Klopp’s charges looked back to their best as they recorded a 6-1 victory over Leeds at Elland Road, with Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah each netting twice while Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez also got on the scoresheet.

The big win has given the Reds an outside chance of making the Champions League places as the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to nail down the spot in recent weeks.

Klopp’s side have a favorable run in to the end of the season, in which they’ll face four bottom-six sides. Up next for the club is a game versus Nottingham Forest, who currently sit in the Premier League drop zone.
