Team news: Fulham
After their incredible return to Premier League last season with a top-10 finish, Fulham got off to a perfect start with a narrow victory against Toffees. Bobby De Cordova Reid had the standout performance with the game’s only goal in the 72nd minute. Despite having only two shots on target, Fulham kept 60 per cent of ball possession in their first round of the Premier League.
There is only one fitness concern for Fulham as midfielder Joao Palhinha suffers from a shoulder injury. Aleksandar Mitrovic has been linked to a move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal and made only a joker appearance in the last game.
Willian, who left the pitch for goalscorer Reid at the half time against Everton, has also agreed on personal terms to join Saudi club Al Shabab. Given the current rumours about two Fulham players, Reid could get a chance to start in the next game after his winning goal at Goodison Park.
Fulham Predicted Lineups (4-3-3):
Leno; Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Lukic; Wilson, Pereira, Decordova-Reid; Jimenez
Team news: Brentford
Brentford entertained Tottenham Hotspurs in the first round of the league and secured only a single point. Despite getting only 30 per cent ball possession, the Bees were able to clip Tottenham to a 2-2 scoreline. Bryan Mbeumo converted a penalty to score the first equaliser and Yoane Wissa put Brentford in the lead in the 36th minute. However, Spurs’ Emerson Royal levelled the game in the fourth minute of stoppage time before the break.
Midfielder Mathias Jensen had to leave the pitch in the early second half against Spurs due to a thigh injury. However, it remains unconfirmed whether he will be able to make a quick comeback to the field in the game or not. Frank Onyeka and Ben Mee are the other two players to miss out on the upcoming fixture due to fitness issues.
Additionally, reports have confirmed David Raya’s move to Arsenal for a loan spell that would see Mark Flekken standing between the goalposts.
Brentford Predicted Lineups (4-3-3):
Flekken; Hickey, Mee, Pinnock, Collins, Henry; Janelt, Norgaard; Damsgaard; Mbeumo, Wissa

The Cottagers have done well to keep hold of Joao Palhinha in the summer transfer market. The Portuguese will be key to their performances in the Premier League but Fulham have to do without him for the time being. The midfielder is out with a shoulder injury and unavailable for selection for Marco Silva.
