The Amex Stadium is set to host a blockbuster fixture on Saturday evening, as Brighton & Hove Albion host Newcastle United in the fourth fixture of the Premier League season.
The two sides had high-flying seasons last term, but both will be desperate for a win on Saturday after suffering respective defeats last time out in the league.

Despite being on the up, Roberto De Zerbi’s side will be setting out to get revenge on Newcastle this weekend, after failing to gain three points from Eddie Howe’s team last season.
The last time the two clubs met at the Amex was in August 2022, where the points were shared in a dreary goalless draw. That stands in stark contrast to their most recent H2H result in May, in which the Geordies were 4-1 victors in a dramatic display up north.
It’s guaranteed to be a thriller, with kick off coming at 17:30 for viewers in the UK, who can watch the game on Sky Sports.
Team news: Brighton
Despite starting the season impeccably with back to back 4-1 victories, De Zerbi’s side were knocked off their perfect points record perch last weekend, as West Ham stunned the Seagulls at the Amex. The Hammers came away from the south coast with a 3-1 win, handing Brighton their first taste of dropped points this campaign.
In terms of injury news, Danny Welbeck will be out of contention due to a minor muscular injury, leaving the spot to lead the line up for contention. Long term absentees Jakub Moder and Julio Enciso will be out, as well as Tariq Lamptey.
Brighton predicted lineup
Steele, Milner, Webster, Dunk, Estupinan, Gross, Gilmour, March, Pedro, Mitoma, Ferguson
Team news: Newcastle
A memorable opening day thrashing of Aston Villa at St James’ park was thought to be a warning sign for the rest of the league in terms of the threat that Howe’s side could pose this season.
Since the win, however, the Geordies have lost back to back fixtures, losing narrowly to Manchester City at the Etihad and being deprived of three points last week, as Darwin Nunez struck late to take the points back to Merseyside, despite the Reds having 10 men.
Sven Botman was forced to withdraw last weekend due to an ankle injury, leaving him unlikely to feature on Saturday, with Joelinton also a doubt after not training this week.
Joe Willock is still recovering from a thigh injury while Emil Krafth is still nursing a traumatic ACL blow.
Newcastle United predicted lineup
Pope, Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn, Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton, Almiron, Isak, Gordon
Will Ansu Fati feature?
Deadline day at the Amex stole the headlines – and rightly so, as the Seagulls welcomed Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati to their ranks.

The Spaniard will be with De Zerbi’s side on a season-long loan, however will not feature this weekend after being out of action all week due to the decisions over his future, with the manager confirming the news when asked if he will feature:
“I think no [Fati won’t be involved], he hasn’t worked in the last four or five days.”
