Brentford host Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium in this Premier League season’s fourth round of fixtures, with both sides desperate to win after being denied three points last week.

Kick off comes at 15:00 for the two teams, with the game not selected to be televised in the UK.

Brentford vs Bournemouth predicted lineups and news

Bournemouth will be looking for redemption on Saturday, after failing to beat Brentford in either of their two meetings last season. The two sides met most recently in the Premier League in January, when the Bees secured a 2-0 win at home, a result that the Cherries will want to avoid a repeat of this weekend.

In the reverse fixture, Bournemouth gained a point from Thomas Frank’s squad back in October 2022 at the Vitality Stadium, leaving them winless last campaign against Saturday’s opponent.

The hosts sit comfortably at 9th in the table, whereas further down, the Cherries are 16th with only one point on the board so far, something that the club will want to change sooner rather than later.

Team news: Brentford

The Bees have made an adequate start to the campaign, drawing twice and gaining one win so far.

Last time out, Brentford drew to Crystal Palace 1-1, with the fixture memorable due to the nature of the Bees’ goal, in which Kevin Schade finished a superb solo effort, with Frank hoping he can replicate such quality against Bournemouth.

Both Thomas Strakosha and Mikkel Damsgaard are hoping to be fit for contention, but may be slightly short in terms of their fitness. Long-term absentees Josh Dasilva and Shandon Baptiste continue their road to recovery.

Team news: Bournemouth

Manager Andoni Iraola is still waiting for his first league victory as boss of the Cherries, with only one point on the board so far after a challenging series of opening fixtures. A home draw on the opening day has set the tone so far, however back to back losses to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have left Bournemouth hungry for a result against Brentford.

Last time out, the Cherries welcomed Spurs to the Vitality Stadium and were dominated by the Lilywhites, losing 2-0 in a game that was dictated by Ange Postecoglou’s side.

In terms of injury news ahead of the trip to Brentford, new signings Alex Scott and Tyler Adams are still waiting to make their debuts, while the club’s list of absentees remains the same.

Will Lloyd Kelly play?

In what has been a thrilling deadline day so far, Bournemouth have been a subject of interest, with Spurs eyeing centre-back Lloyd Kelly.

The north Londoners are said to have had an opening bid of £20m rejected by the Cherries, with question marks remaining as to whether the Lilywhites will try again to sign the defender, leaving his selection for tomorrow’s fixture in doubt.
