Arsenal take on Tottenham on Sunday afternoon in the first North London derby of the Premier League season. Both teams have started the season strongly and are level on points going into the match, making this one of the most hotly anticipated clashes in recent years.

As the home side, Arsenal go into the match as favourites but Spurs’ early season form has certainly caught the eye. The match will take place at the Emirates Stadium and kick-off is at 14:00 UK time.

The most recent encounter between Tottenham and Arsenal was played in January when Antonio Conte was still the Spurs boss. In October 2022, Arsenal faced Spurs at the Emirates Stadium and put their local rivals to the sword. After somehow being level at half time, Tottenham crumbled after the break with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka securing a valuable three points for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Final prediction

This is a really tough game to call as although Arsenal have a formidable home record against Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou has got Spurs playing exceptionally well over the early weeks of the season. We’re going to call it down the middle and predict an exciting 2-2 draw.
