Arsenal vs Fulham Predicted Lineups and News

Before we go into more details regarding the Arsenal vs Fulham possible lineups we’ll give you the latest team news for each team and what that means for their overall strength. And if you can’t make it to the stadium don’t worry, you can always enjoy all the action on TV.

Team news: Arsenal

Arsenal have started the season solidly without being hugely impressive. They beat Man City on penalties in the Community Shield and then recorded back-to-back narrow wins in the first 2 rounds of the Premier League – 2-1 vs Nottingham and 1-0 vs Crystal Palace.

The forward actions were far from convincing in both those wins but Arsenal still found a way to win and this is a true mark of champions in the making.

Coach Arteta is set to have some serious problems at full-back for the coming match. Injured in the opening round Timber is a long-term absentee. Tomiyasu replaced him well last weekend but he is now missing suspended. Also, Tierney won’t be considered as he is about to leave the club. All this is likely to see Zinchenko used in a defensive role.

In better news, Gabriel Jesus has recovered from a knee injury and is expected to be involved. He might not be ready to start just yet but involvement off the bench is likely.

Arsenal Predicted Lineups (4-3-3):

Ramsdale – White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko – Odegaard, Rice, Havertz – Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli

Team news: Fulham

Fulham opened their new season with an away win before losing badly in their first home outings. The Cottagers were poor in both those matches and they beat Everton 1-0 away only thanks to a Man of the Match display from their goalie Leno.

Leno was much shakier last weekend when Fulham lost the first London derby of the season vs Brentford 0-3. Shortly before that game Fulham’s top goalscorer for all of the last 4 years, Aleksandr Mitrovic left the club to become the latest name to move to the Saudi Pro League. This means that recently signed Raul Jimenez will be starting every game from now on.

Fulham’s captain Ream misses this second consecutive London derby suspended. Bassey was pushing for a start anyway so this is not such a big issue. Fulham don’t seem to have any health problems.

Fulham Predicted Lineups (4-2-3-1):

Leno – Tete, Diop, Bassey, Robinson – Reed, Palhinha – Traore, Pereira, Decordova-Reid – Jimenez

Will Gabriel Jesus play for Arsenal?

Arsenal’s main centre forward Gabriel Jesus missed the first few games due to a knee injury. However, he has resumed training this week and it seems he will be part of the group for the first time this season on Saturday.
