They believe his technical ability, versatility, and goal-scoring prowess would provide a much-needed boost to the team’s attacking options. Excitement fills the air as they envision Havertz’s creativity and flair complementing Arsenal’s style of play, potentially revitalizing their fortunes and leading them to glory.
I really hope Havertz has a huge 4-6 weeks with Arteta and hits the ground running
Feels like such a confidence player, and relative to other signings, I don’t think he’ll be given as much time & patience pic.twitter.com/7pFLRK45jX

Reservations about the German
On the other hand, some Arsenal fans remain sceptical about the potential transfer and express reservations about embracing a player from their bitter rivals. With the exception of Petr Cech, none of the arrivals from Stamford Bridge have impressed in North London.
David Luiz, William Gallas, Willian and Jorginho, none of the stars that arrived from Chelsea could establish themselves in Arsenal’s folklore. While the aforementioned quartet were on their last legs when joining the Gunners, the German international is 24 and still has to enjoy the better part of his career.
I trust arteta and the vision he has for Arsenal moving forward, but I need someone to explain this Havertz situation to me and where he fits in ?

Jubilation from Chelsea fans
After a season that saw them finish 12th in the Premier League, Chelsea fans are backing the mass clearout. As Havertz is sold to their derby rivals, fans have become math wizards to justify the profit they are making on his sale.
The Havertz deal’s logistics:
– Bought for £68m amortised over 5 years
– £68m ÷ 5 = £13.6m per year
– Has 2 years left on his contact
– £13.6m x 2 = £27.2m
– Arsenal paid £60m for him
– £60m – £27.2m = £32.8m
– Chelsea profit by £32.8m for FFP
– £7.8m per year saved on wages— Vᴅʏᴋ (@VdykCFC) June 21, 2023

Then there are others who do not want to keep players with their hearts set somewhere else.
Mount and Havertz joining our rivals after one poor season shows you part of the mentality problem that made us finish 12th last season. I would rather have players who are committed to the cause than those who jump to leave at the first opportunity.
Good riddance.

It has also raised an outcry from sections of the fanbase questioning the direction of the club. Havertz is not the only key player to leave Stamford Bridge. Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante are also departing with Mason Mount having one foot out the door.

Havertz struggled to impose himself at Stamford Bridge, scoring just 32 goals in 139 appearances. However, he leaves as a legend with his goal against Manchester City in the Champions League final cementing his legacy at the club. Fans thanked him for his service and that special goal in Porto.
