Leicester are on the lookout for a new manager after sacking long-term boss Brendan Rodgers, with the club dropping into the relegation zone following Saturday’s loss to Crystal Palace.
The Foxes have endured a torrid campaign, winning just seven of their 28 matches so far. They have drawn four, losing the other 17. The club are now sitting in 19th place on 25 points, just two ahead of rock-bottom Southampton.
Rodgers has now left Leicester, with the Foxes now desperate to appoint a successful successor who can guide them to Premier League safety.
A record 12 managers have now been sacked in the competition this season, with Chelsea just recently sacking Graham Potter after just seven months in charge at Stamford Bridge.
5 managers who could take over at Leicester

Rafa Benitez
Already linked with a handful of jobs this season, the former Liverpool and Chelsea boss could be brought in to help steady the ship and guide the club out of the relegation zone.
The Spaniard has been out of work since his sacking by Everton in January 2022, but his experience could be crucial in getting the best out of a struggling Leicester side.
Mauricio Pochettino
One name that would certainly create a lot of excitement around the King Power, Pochettino has also been linked with many jobs recently, including former club Spurs and now Chelsea.
But could he take on a more difficult role at the Foxes? Taking them to safety before trying to guide them back into Europe sounds like an exciting challenge.
Dean Smith
Another manager with Premier League experience, Smith is out of work having been sacked by Championship outfit Norwich in December.
He has previously led the Canaries and Aston Villa in the top flight, picking up some memorable victories, but the boss perhaps doesn’t hold as much excitement as the likes of Benitez or Pochettino.
Ralph Hasenhuttl
Another candidate that may not be as entertaining as other high-profile names, Hasenhuttl also picked up some important wins during his reign at Southampton.
But his club’s tendency to concede plenty of goals ultimately led to his sacking earlier this season, with the Saints now looking very unlikely of being capable of righting his wrongs, which will definitely go against him in any potential job interview at Leicester.
Graham Potter
There is, of course, a potential candidate that is as clear as day, with ex-Chelsea boss Potter now available following his dismissal at Stamford Bridge. He has already proven himself at Brighton, and there will not be many football fans out there who will blame the manager for the disastrous failings behind the scenes at Chelsea.
Potter has shown he is capable of taking on a smaller project, and the boss could be the perfect man to finally realise the great potential within the Leicester squad. There is plenty of talent in the likes of James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Youri Tielemans and various other players, but they just need a manager that is able to help them express themselves on the pitch.
Leicester City Football Club has reached a mutual agreement with Brendan Rodgers that will see him leave the Club after four years as our Men’s First Team Manager.
