All of a sudden, Leeds United now find themselves in real danger of the drop. The Yorkshire outfit sit 17th in the Premier League table.
Jesse Marsch’s side have 34 points to their name. It’s just two more than Everton, who have a game in hand.
More worryingly, perhaps, is the fixture list. Leeds still have Arsenal and Chelsea to come. They then finish out the season against Brighton and Brentford.
There is certainly a real community feel about the club. Each and every player seems to love everything about playing for Leeds. But such loyalty will be tested this summer.
Potential exits would bring some much-needed funds to Elland Road. That will be key as the club aims to bounce back into the top-flight, if indeed the worst was to happen this season.
And while many players will want to stick with the team, they will have a hard time saying no if their dream move is on the cards.
Here are four Leeds players who could leave this summer should they get relegated:
Illan Meslier
With 72 goals conceded, Leeds have the worst defensive record in the league this season. Relegated Norwich have conceded 71. But it could be so much worse for the Yorkshire club if not for the man between the sticks.
Meslier is just 22, but he is wise beyond his years. He has produced save after save over the months. The goalkeeper has just five clean sheets this season, but he’s proven just how reliable he can be.
Kalvin Phillips
It’s no secret that Phillips is highly sought after. The midfielder has missed a large chunk of the campaign through injury. But when on the pitch, he has been a standout.
The 26-year-old has also earned a call-up to the England squad for his displays. Both Manchester United and Aston Villa reportedly want to sign him this summer. Those two clubs are in desperate need of a strong holding midfielder. Phillips certainly fits the bill.

Jack Harrison
Harrison is another to have shone when fit. He has nine goals in all competitions this season. That includes a Premier League hat-trick against West Ham.
The versatile winger would be a great addition to any attacking lineup. He has over 150 appearances for Leeds, but may just fancy his chances of playing regular top-flight football.
Raphinha
Unsurprisingly, Raphinha also finds himself on the list of potential exits from Elland Road. He has a long, long list of suitors. The Brazilian has been the club’s main man this season.
The 25-year-old has 10 league goals to his name. He also has three assists. Any new club will want those numbers to improve, but it shouldn’t be difficult given his ability.
Liverpool have had strong links to the winger over recent months. Raphinha has often been tipped to take over from Mohamed Salah at Anfield. But Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona are also reportedly showing an interest.
