North Queensland to Win by 1-12 @ 2.87 (15/8)

This could well be the toughest match of the round to call, with the Cowboys coming into this clash off the back of three losses in a row, and the Dollies riding a five-match losing streak. While it feels like the Dolphins will grab one more win this season, if they couldn’t put away the Tigers last week, it’s mighty tough to see them beating the Cowboys here.

Expect this to be a tight, ugly match, with Redcliffe yet again losing by the skin of their teeth.

Hamiso Tabuai Fidow to Score @ 2.10 (11/10)

Tabuai Fidow has been one of the players of the season for not just the Dolphins, but across the NRL as a whole. The Hammer has a knack for scoring from anywhere, with 15 tries from 18 matches. Right now, he’s been on a three-game cooler, failing to bag one since their match against the Panthers in mid-July. Expect that to end this Friday night though, with the Hammer adding to his tally against the Cowboys.

Redcliffe Dolphins

The Dolphins began their season with a hiss and a roar, surprising everyone as they won their first three matches. However, the second half of the year has not been kind to the Brisbane-based side, with the wins few and far between. The Dolphins now sit at 14th spot in the ladder, with eight wins from 22 matches.

North Queensland Cowboys

The Cowboys have run hot and cold this year. Wind back the clock a few months, and they were the form team in the competition, beating the Storm, Panthers and Rabbitohs on the bounce before putting 74 unanswered points on the West Tigers and dispatching the Sea Eagles as well. And then, it all disappeared, with the Cowboys losing three in a row.

Now, the side sit with their season in the balance–in a four-way battle for eighth place, locked on 28 points. In essence, this means they need to win big against the Dolphins, knock off the Panthers again next week, and count on a bit of good luck as well if they’re to make the cut.
