Today will undoubtedly be one of the best days of the season as we will see the two best players in the world face each other in the final, just like last year. Aryna sabalenka will try to snatch the title from the Spaniard. Last year the players also met at this stage and on that occasion she was the one who came out on top and with another title in her trophy cabinet.

Once again, world number one Iga Swiatek will have the task of defending another title as the top seed, something she has failed to do in a couple of previous tournaments. Let’s take a look at who the favourites are and their WTA Stuttgart betting odds.
Top Contenders to Win & WTA Stuttgart Odds
In this edition of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix there will be few major absences, in fact, the only top ten players who will not be present is Jessica Pegula. So we can expect an intense and entertaining tournament from the early rounds.
Iga Swiatek FINALIST

In addition to being number one in the world rankings, Iga Swiatek is also the defending champion. Although she still has a wide lead of 2000 points on the number two in the rankings. The Swiss tennis player’s permanence will depend on how many title defences she has left this season.
So far Swiatek has only one title, which she won in Doha, but she will perform well in important tournaments such as a semi-final in Australia and a final in Dubai. The only negative thing we could say about her is that she has not been able to revalidate a couple of titles this season.
Aryna Sabalenka FINALIST
[nsn_tip count=1 tip1=”Sabalenka to Win ST” reason1=”” odds1=”17/10 (2.70)” logo1=”https://punditfeed.com/app/uploads/nsntips/Ladbrokes.png” bookmaker1=”Ladbrokes” url1=”https://punditfeed.com/go-ladbrokes” target=”undefined” color_cta=”#000000″ text_cta=”white”]
The Belarusian tennis player has a start to the season that anyone would wish for with 20 wins and only 3 losses. Winner of the only grand slam that has been played at the moment and also of the Adelaide tournament. Sabalenka has played phenomenal quarter-finals in Dubai and Miami and also a final in Indian Wells.
However since the Miami Open she has not been in action again, in fact, this will be her first clay court tournament. Last year she reached the final in that tournament where she lost to liver so this will be the perfect opportunity to score a good amount of points and make her opponent lose them to reduce the points advantage between the first and the second place in the WTA ranking.
Caroline Garcia ELIMINATED QUARTER FINALS
The 29-year-old veteran tennis player has an impressive record of 19 wins and eight losses but is one short of a first-season title. Garcia came close to winning in Leon and Monterrey but on both occasions lost the final.
The big disappointment of the French player’s performance is in the big tournaments, as in Australia Open and Indian Wells she was knocked out in the fourth round while in Dubai and Miami she lost in the second round. This will be her first clay court tournament this season, it will be interesting to see how she performs on this surface.
Ons Jabeur ELIMINATED SEMI FINALS
After a season full of irregular results and early exits in the most important tournaments, the tennis player from Turkey finally won her first title of the season, this time in Charleston. For the second year in a row, the same final between Belinda Bencic and Ons Jabeur was repeated.
The Tunisian administration managed to avenge the defeat in the previous final, and this time she won today in convincing straight sets. We expect Jabeur to continue that good form and carry that success over to Stuttgart. Her record so far is 9 wins and 4 losses.
Coco Gauff ELIMINATED ROUND OF 16
The American tennis player’s record is 15 wins and 6 losses. Her best results have been in quarterfinals in Doha and Indian Wells, a semifinal in Dubai, and the only final she played in earlier this year in Auckland where she successfully won her first and only title this season.
There are other major tournaments where Coco Gauff did less than expected, for example at the Australia Open where he only reached the quarter-finals. Recently at the Miami Open, she barely reached the third round. In the absence of some top players in this WTA Stuttgart, there is a great opportunity for Coco to reach the final stages, and even fight for the title and the generous money prize at Stuttgart.
