In the opening round of the Halle Open, Sinner defeated Richard Gasquet by 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. Last week at the Rosmalen Open, Sinner lost in the second round to Emil Ruusuvuori in straight sets. Sinner’s best result this week was the title in Montpellier in February.
