2023 Berlin Open Predictions – Best Tennis Tips for the Day

It’s important to point out that the German Open originally kicked off in 1896, making it one of the oldest tournaments for women. Over the years, this tournament has been played across two different surfaces, in two cities. Interestingly, this will be the first of two WTA 500 events played on grass this year. That said, we have two finalists, and both players will battle for their first ever Berlin Open title today. It’ll be interesting to see which of these players will reign supreme at the end of this match.

2023 Berlin Open Predictions – Outright Winner

It’s important to point out that this tournament wasn’t held between 2008 and 2020; this means there are just two active players who have won the Berlin Open title. It may interest you to know that both players featured in this year’s edition of the Berlin Open. Furthermore, this competition has not been very kind on some of the top players. There were eight seeded players at this year’s edition of the Berlin Open, and only three of them made it through to the quarter-final. Players who suffered early exits include Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff and Ons Jabeur.

It may interest you to know that a couple of the top seeds fell at the hands of Donna Vekic; the Croatian player has been clutch so far, beating Elena Rybakina and Maria Sakkari despite being unseeded at this competition. Moreover, Vekic dropped just one set on her way to the Berlin Open final.

Like today’s opponent, Petra Kvitova has taken on her fair share of tough opponents this week; she knocked out Caroline Garcia, Karolina Pliskova and Ekaterina Alexandrova, all in straight sets. The Czech player is yet to surrender a set at this tournament; she has also dominated Donna Vekic in the past. We would like to point out that Kvitova won the last three, and four of five previous skirmishes between these players. Keeping in mind that Petra Kvitova has two grand slam titles on this surface, we are backing her to hoist the title when it’s all said and done.

Petra Kvitova vs Donna Vekic Head to Head

Petra Kvitova and Donna Vekic will go toe-to-toe with each other for the sixth time in their respective careers today; and interestingly enough, three of their previous five skirmishes took place at the same tournament. As it stands, Kvitova leads the head-to-head with four wins from five, she also won the last three clashes between these players. It’s also worth mentioning that Kvitova and Vekic met on this surface at the Eastbourne Open last year; and it was the Czech player who came out on top in straight sets.
