The Russian tennis player fell out of the top ten after the first half of the year in which she did not have very good results, especially in the most important tournaments that have been played so far. Her best performance was at the beginning of the year in Adelaide, where she reached the final but lost to Belinda Bencic.

1st Round: Daria Kasatkina defeated by Elina Avanesyan 2-6 6-3 6-7
