Grand National 2023 Result: Who Won the Race?

The 2023 Grand National has officially ended, and what a race it was! We had fallers at the first two fences in dramatic fashion, instantly slimming the field from the initial 40. And there were many other fallers at various fences along the track, combined with a delayed start due to protestors. Fair to say – the Grand National had it all this year. But ultimately, there is one horse that is going back to the stables with glory tonight.

2023 Grand National Result

In case you missed it, the winner of the 2023 Grand National was Corach Rambler. As the race started, Corach Rambler turned out to be the ante-post favourite, despite dropping down in the list of favourites over the last day or two. However, punters obviously had plenty of faith in this horse, and the hefty bets placed on Corach Rambler shifted the price below all others right before the event kicked off.

As for the result, was it ever in question?

Corach Rambler Wins the 2023 Grand National

When the Grand National kicked off today, Corach Rambler came in at a price of 8/1. And as mentioned previously, this made him the ante-post favourite. Jockeyed by Derek Fox, who won the Grand National back in 2017, the pair made it look easy in the end. Corach Rambler settled nicely among the leading pack for pretty much the whole race, especially in the second lap. Yet when it came down to the final two fences, this horse showed to everyone why he was the Grand National favourite.

He gobbled up the five-length lead that was built by Mister Coffey with around 30/40 seconds left to go. Yet once he caught him, there was no looking back. Corach Rambler then left the whole pack for dust as he snatched a seemingly comfortable win in the end.

But boy – what a thriller, and well done to Corach Rambler and Derek Fox!
