Today is Ladies Day at Aintree and tomorrow is Grand National Day. Thousands of racing enthusiasts lucky enough to have tickets will descend on the Merseyside racing venue for the festivities.

The racing is the main attraction, with lots of top-quality horses in action, not to mention the spectacle of the big race itself, which is of course the primary focus for most in attendance.
It’s also a huge social event, one that is predominantly attended by groups of friends and family, all of whom are looking for a good time.
Plenty of those in attendance will work up a thirst over the course of their time on course, which is just as well because Aintree Racecourse is well equipped with any number of bars and drinking facilities. The question is how much will it cost to get a drink at Aintree over the Grand National weekend?
As one would expect, with nothing remaining the same in price for very long these days, Grand National beverages have risen in cost since the 2022 meeting.
It really does depend on your tipple, though. If you’re after a pint, then you probably won’t be thrilled to learn that you’ll be paying up to £7.50 per time for Worthington’s, Aspall Cyder, Staropramen, Guiness, or Carling Black Fruits. Those happy with a simple Carling can save themselves £0.30p per pint. If bottled beer is more your sort of thing, then you’ll be looking at £6.50 for Madri, Pravha or Chieftain Pale Ale.
When it comes to soft drinks, the prices will be what’s commonly expected from big-name events, with a can of Coke Zero/Diet Coke set to run customers £2.90. A Red Bull will cost £3.75, while 150ml of fruit juice can be consumed for £2.50. All mixers, served in 150ml quantities, will also cost £2.50.
For anyone after something a bit fancier, a 750ml bottle of Via Vai Prosecco Brut will cost £46.00, while a 750ml bottle of Via Vai Prosecco Rose is slightly more expensive at £49.00.
