It seems like only yesterday that we were gearing up for the first major of the year, yet here we are, just two days out from the third major of the season, which in 2023 is the US Open.
On Thursday, the world’s best players will descend on Los Angeles Country Club, located in Los Angeles, California. Who will come out on top?
Where to Watch US Open on TV
Contents
There will be plenty of fans watching the action unfold live from the Los Angeles Country Club. The pressure is going to be on the players, not only because the US Open is one of golf’s most high-quality events, but because they will play in front of a typically sizable US Open crowd. When the majors come around, all true golf fans want to feast their eyes on the live action, and there’s no better place to do that than the venue.
However, not everyone will be lucky enough to be in Los Angeles for the main event. Millions of golf fans will be looking to tune and see everything live on television. Let’s take a look at how, where and when golf fans can watch the US Open this week.
US Open TV Schedule (UK)
If you’re in the United Kingdom and want to watch the golf this week, then you only really have one option. Sky Sports Golf have something of a monopoly on UK coverage of golf, and it is of course on Sky Sports Golf that brings you the action here.
You can watch the practice days and the before-event coverage on Sky Sports Golf, while Sky Sports Main Event will also be showing large parts of the action, especially on the final day.
UK viewers who want to watch right from the very beginning, should tune in from around 13:00 p.m. on Thursday. If you do not currently have Sky Sports, but would like top upgrade in time to watch the US Open, then you can currently do so for £18, which if you ask me, is somewhat steep, but such is the modern world.
If like many golf fans, you don’t need to see every minute of the action or are only interested in watching the final round, which is quite common, a day pass via NOW is probably your best bet. You can purchase said day pass for £12.
US Open TV Schedule (US)
The viewing schedule is naturally different in the US. On Thursday, viewers will have numerous options, so there should be something for most people, with coverage set to be on ESPN, Golf Channel, Next Level Sports, Pac-12 Networks and USA Network.
On Friday, viewers can tune in and see the golf on one of the following: CBS, ESPN, Golf Channel, Next Level Sports and USA Network.
For Saturday, the options are CBS, CW, ESPN, Golf Channel, NBS and Next Level Sports, while on the fourth and final day of the tournament, the Sunday, the viewing options for TV viewers in the US are CBS, CW, ESPN, Golf Channel, NBC and SECN.
How to Stream the US Open?
Of course, it’s not just TV where the golf will be broadcast. There are streaming options online. We’ve laid out the US Open streaming options in our ‘Where and How to Watch The US Open 2023 Live Stream Online’ article.
